I would probably stay, seeing as my skillpoints aren't very high compared to alot of others. 20mil vs 60mil : /

I'd quit. Having to retrain to do all the stuff I currently do would be awful. I basically wouldnt be able to play for a few months.

All SP back to base (800k or something), everyone back to 5K ISK with a newbieship. I wouldn't quit, because not even CCP would shoot themselves that badly in the foot.

Why do MMOs always have these whines. And yes, we had these whines everyyear in EvE.
Waaah waaahh.. some are lvl 100 and I am lvl 10..so unfair! Waaah waah some have 80millino SP and I got 1million. Waaah waaah. Some got a titan and I got a rifter waah waah.

There'd be no reason to reset the current server, just bring another online... stateside perhaps, so those frustrating Euro ISPs will stop dropping my precious packets.

A reset would be pure stupidity.
Frankly, things are fine now, but thats easy for me to say (4 accounts all well over 60mil SPs...)
If CCP decides they have to do something, add BOTH of the following:
--The ability to UNLEARN skills. They can make it instant, or slow, or even the same speed as learning.
--A skill point CAP (Maybe 100mil SPs??)
With a skillpoint cap, the core whine of "I can't catch up", suddenly disappears.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

I doubt I'd quit, but I'd be pretty narked.
I personally like the fact that people have more skills than I do.
after all, Lewis Hamilton and Schumacher have a lot more SP in driving than I do in reality... why should'nt Bek Rowe have a lot more SP in minmatar battleships (or whatever) than I do in a game?
the world is not balanced. I like that eve's not balanced either.

A total reset? Sounds awesome, especially if NPC's only sold blueprints and nothing else. Starting from scratch, nothing on the markets, nobody able to build anything until people ratted/missioned enough in noob ships to buy BPO's to manufacture ships/stuff, then mined/melted stuff to build it all from scratch. Sounds bloody marvellous, actually. Equalized SP would just be an additional boon.
If we could reduce the playerbase to 5k peak online while we're at it, that would be even greater. Or increase the size of the Eve universe tenfold.
Bring on the frontier, screw this overcrowded urban supermarketcomplex feel Eve has today.
But if I can't have that, I'll take what we have now. Good enough.

First, it will never happen. I would stay though.
If it did happen I think I would find it enjoyable. Being able to start fresh and actually know what I'm doing would be nice. The learning curve, as we all know, is terribly steep in EVE.
It might even be possible for CCP to start a new server with a slightly different rule set, much like Everquest has done. I played EQ for 7 years and actually started characters on the "modified rules" servers. Had fun. CCP might consider revamping the economic model and low sec areas on a new server. It would be fun.
