I'm getting annoyed with that buckling seatbelt crap and having to wait 10 or 15 or 30 seconds till we undock.
Why not add a traffic light like monitor to the left side of the panel near the undock button? We all know what those lights mean so why not use it on dock at the undock button and a highlighted symbol on the ships to state it's status.
Red - Not Ready to Undock / Not in this Ship
Yellow - Entering Ship. Standby... / Entering this ship.
Green - Ready to Undock / You are in this ship

yeah i want one of those too cause i'm just gonna keep clicking on the damn undock button untill it works cause there is no timer or anything telling me when i can

Good idea, or create a visible QUEUE with other ships exiting the station when we click undock, I've been thinking that feature before, but yours is good too.

that's an excellent idea. the seatbelt thing is just plain annoying, both in how it works and the coy way it was written, as we all know very well that our pods don't have seats...
at the very least, change it to "Your pod is still being transferred" or something similar.
ideally, yes a visual indicator would be awesome! make the exit station button dark or a different color (and make it non-functional) during the time the ship is being readied. when the time is up, make it clearly visually activated. (no sound!)

Sounds great, but to stop lag could it be red and green.
The yellow light would just make lag.
