I have to bump this, being another of the injured parties.
These two toons, Marichek and Feanor picked a good time when a lot of the corp were stuck in space last night and cleaned out the corp hangar of all it's contents, including personal items, and a Cruiser that our 10 person corp had saved quite some time to buy, along with 2 cruisers which were destined for them anyways.
They left a message in our journal that it was 'just business' aparently they couldn't pass up the opportunity presented to them to clear us out, even though they'd been working with us for weeks.
It's really unfortunate that this can happen and we have no recourse. We can't even place a bounty on them as they have a positive security rating. They just get to get off scott free. They've likely transfered everything to alts by now anyways of course...

It's a very fair point that they probably shouldn't have had access. I think there was some confusion on the part of our acting leader with the new patch which caused more access than necessary to be granted.
Many of us in the corp had issues with what may have been generally lax security. It was a very small corp though, 10 toons. We all stared at asteroids together for a few weeks and felt a bit of trust with one another and then some people decided they couldn't pass up an opportunity to scam the others for their own personal gain, perhaps because there was no way they could be punished.

If I ever get a shot at them I'll be glad to take the security hit.

This post should have been titled 'Death of The Imposium Corporation' as half our members are now leaving the game. There are a lof of bad feelings all around but of course through ignoring people it's easy for Feanor and Marichek to avoid them.
I personally intend to keep playing. I think I will be looking for a somewhat less trusting and more organized corporation to work with though.
I was told by the GM that there is nothing they can do. I suspected this was true but figured it was worth a shot.
They said that if I have any ideas what can be done about this I should file a bug report. I think a couple of things that come to mind are some sort of corporate insurance as well as some sort of police recourse when you are robbed like this. There should certainly be some security status implications for this kind of theft.
I'd like to think of this less as a ***** post and more as a warning to others. I have played in other MMORPGs where a guild is a collection of people that like to have fun together and help each other out. I think a lot of folks in our corp thought it could be run similarly in this game. They wanted their corp to be an open place where everyone can share what they've earned. This doesn't work in this game. Be careful.

The access control being as coarse as it is is definitely a serious problem. Especially since there seems to be no way to prosecute corporate criminals.
Let's say a corp has one especially valuable posession like a blackbird blueprint. 35 million isk. It only has one copy too because labs are so hard to find it couldn't be copied. Remember this is a small corp without tons of resources. You would expect that this bp is kept in security 5 where only very select members have access to it, or better yet in the hangar of a trusted member.
If you set off a batch of blackbirds building in a corp factory and log off, when the batch is done the blueprint will fall into the factory section. All it takes is a junior corpmember with factory access for making ammo or something to get a bright idea and you are out 35 million isk.
This is NOT what happened to IMPco but it could happen to anyone, and I expect it will happen a lot if my personal experience so far is anything to go by...
I can buy insurance on my 5 million blackbird, but I can't get insurance on my 35 million blueprint.
