Inadvertently anyway.
So we have a jerk of a user who constantly nags us about how stuff doesn't get done and how he wants it done, yadda, yadda.
So yesterday I had to install two perpherials for laptops that will be given to two new contractors (who will be working out in the field) and he has them in his cubicle. So I install them and then he mentions how he wants to make sure they can log in, that everything is set up, etc. He then keeps shooting his mouth off about how they should have no passwords on the accounts because he 'made a call'. I proceed to type the user name and enter no password and guess what? Doesn't work. I get a password reset (I have no idea what the default will be) so I can log in and set everything up. I then mentioned how the username and password would be given during their orientations but he goes on about how they never give passwords out at those because they didn't at his and how badly the orientations are run, etc, etc. I then say 'My group runs the orientations'. He shuts up.
So today I go back to install another device onto a third laptop. Here I am doing all the same setup crap he was nagging me about. I happen to let out a few big sneezes and $Nagging_luser asks:
"You ok?"
Me: "yeah.
$Nagging_luser: "I don't have to go get a defibulator do I? In case you have a heart attack."
Me (scoffing): "No."
$Nagging_luser: "Wouldn't want you to have a heart attack."
Me: "Don't worry about me. I'm healthy as an ox. I work out for a couple of hours every second day."
$Nagging_luser: "Really?"
Me: "Yes. Every Tuesday and Thursday I have Wing Chun Kung Fu practice and Friday and Sunday I have Aikido practice."
$Nagging_luser: "Oh. So you are telling me if I don't stop bugging you that you will beat me up?"
Me: "Pretty much, yeah."

I was excited. Working tech support is much like the way portapotties work. We do nothing but catch crap all day. So getting a moment like with a person who really deserves it is a moment to cherish. Most Eve players are a bit geeky so I wanted to share.:)

Mods wouldn't do that to me because like me, they have to put up with crappy users all day too. :)
And fortunately they are more forgiving of a mispost accident than the general eve community who seem to jump down the throat of anyone who makes a tiny mistake.

He's also confusing Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest. He's a total fail. -_-
Yeah. You see, I didn't point out little stuff like this as I was half ignoring him at that moment. I left out the part afterwards where I mentioned that I could stop his heart if I managed to punch him in the chest around his heart with just the right speed and enough force to do about a 2" depression to it. He shut his mouth after this too up until he was leaving for lunch and shook my hand to thank me for the extra work he nagged me to do but wasn't supposed to do. I am not that forgiving though but just nodded and said no problem. I don't like it when they insult me, my work or my team.
But score one for the tech support guys who have to cater to ignorant users, eh? Woohoo!

It was the part where he was being an annoying twit and when he probed my response to working out, he asked that if he didn't stop bugging me I could beat him up. You see, if I had actually plainly threatened him, it would have caused trouble. But since he mentioned it first by bringing it up in conversation while I was trying to work, I just confirmed his own question so I'm off the hook.:)
He has ****ed off all the techs that were in any position to do the work he needed done.
