Greetings MD forum-goers! Before we get down to business IÆd like to first respectfully introduce myself. My name is XXX and I am currently XX years old, soon to be XX next month, I am a Graduate student at a respectable university in the States and IÆm currently pursuing my Masters in writing. In my off time, I write two columns for two separate publications. One is a printed newspaper where I attend school and the other is for a popular culture website called *removed*.com, I write the column *removed* and review video games on the side. When IÆm not doing that, I work your typical coma-inducing cubicle job for the Man, peruse the MD forums at work or play TF2, EVE Online and Medieval 2: Total War in my spare time.
IÆve been playing EVE online for a year or so now and while my characterÆs info may say differently, a deactivated trial account and offline time is calculated as well.
My corporation û
PDRA is a 2-man corporation which I created a few days ago. ItÆs soon to be a 3-man when I add my other alt. While it doesnÆt provide any advantages to my business, I never started my own before and I wanted to give it a shot.
My characters û
Mazzarins Demise, the old-timer with the brains, wit and experience. (My main)
Plumpy McPudding, the lad with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove (My buy order alt based in Domain)
Slanty McGarglefist, the middle-aged, bald and unmarried man. That hair in his pic is a toupee, but donÆt bring that up as he is quite self-conscience. (Another buy order alt based in Ooursalert, a place with a name I frequently butcher, who isnÆt used often, but that will change for maximum profitability)
Jokes aside, now that the pleasantries are out of the way, allow me to discuss my business plan so you know exactly where your money is going.
The Business Plan
My current business sprang into action when EA (no, not that terrible company!) was first introduced a couple of weeks ago. While I was trading and manufacturing long before this time, my business increased 10-fold (I always wanted to say that) at its introduction. Currently I aid one of the four sides of the FW conflict and I successfully managed to create a little Hub for quick refits and restocks for players before heading back out into the fight. The location is quite strategic as it is close to the fighting and itÆs in high sec.
So what do I do? I make my business chiefly through T1 fittings manufacturing, some light ship construction on the side (mostly frigates and shuttles) and buying various T2 goods on the side and resell them at both the hub where they were bought or move them to where I am. I have a solid mineral supply line going and my buy orders are usually filled quickly, a day or two. So what are my profits? For most if not all of the fittings I trade in, I make nothing less than 40% profit margin and for some fittings it can peak at 200-300%.
Probably the most pertinent questions is why do I need your money to aid my affairs and why such a paltry amount? First and foremost, I need your hard-earned ISK to help my business expand even further. New BPOs will be purchased, more modules will be produced and more T2 BOs will be made. I will be able to utilize my 2nd alt, Slanty, since I currently lack the appropriate funds to set up a lot of buy orders and IÆll be able to get more cashflow coming in. As for the second question about the 500mil investment, I only have two reasons, well maybe three reasons;
1. This is my first IPO and IÆve read enough failed IPO threads to know that asking for insane amounts of money from a relatively unknown individual tends to result in a lot of people being afraid that itÆs a scam. Something I clearly do not want.
2. It gives the little guys a chance to try investing in their first IPO with small amounts of money, minimizing risk just a tad.
3. 500mil is more than enough to purchase new BPOs and stock. I want to start out slow before I have way more mone

Dividends will be paid on the first day of every month and IÆd like to start this IPO at the same time as well. I want the 2-3 day buffer to finalize any questions you may have while giving myself enough time to set my affairs in order.

In the event that you no longer wish to fund my operations, a share buyback option is available and I will repay you in full. No questions asked.
WhatÆs your fallback option? Burnout possibilities?
Like any business venture there is some risk that things do not go your way. If I notice a substantial slide in profits or any other problems that will adversely affect shareholders, I will cancel the IPO and refund all money before it drops below the amount I received from you. I am fairly confident that this wonÆt happen, but if it does I am ready for it.
If I begin to lose interest in the IPO or EVE in general, ALL money will be refunded to investors along with the monthly dividend in FULL as a gift for your support and as an apology for pulling out earlier than expected. It doesnÆt matter if itÆs the first of the month or in the middle, you will get paid.
Communication, communication and communication!
Every month I write up an update containing information about dividend payments, new ideas, profit margins, share expansions or unreserved shares. This allows my investors to get a firm idea on how my business is faring while also giving potential investors the opportunity to get a piece of the action. I will also look into creating an ingame newsletter as another means of getting into contact with my investors. The same information will be present here as well.
Scam Protection!!
As a frequent reader of the MD forums, I know that there is no 100% guarantee of convincing anyone that this isnÆt a scam. But, to help curb the inevitable tide of scam outcries, I will be more than happy to submit to an audit by a respectable member of the MD community. If there are other means of persuading potential investors, I will be more than happy to perform them. In regards to forum posting, I tend to use my main for more serious questions, Slanty for semi-serious questions or stupid ones that anyone knows, and then thereÆs Plumpy, who writes and creates the most nonsensical forum posts ever. Sorry, I get bored at work sometimes. If you want I can post on these characters as well to validate that I own them.
Final Notes
I am currently posting this while I am at work (Good going, youÆre gonna get fired now!) so I do not currently have access to EVE at this time. IÆll get home at approximately 4:00 p.m. EST and then IÆll be able to login. Since I am at work, I have other things diverting my attention, but I will watch the forums with a careful eye to happily answer any questions you may have as quickly as possible. And by work, I mean writing up my review of Arkanoid for the DS since its due later today.
And one other thing, being that this is my first IPO, I may be a little unfamiliar with certain aspects of them. If this is the case and I donÆt seem knowledgeable enough in your eyes, then this IPO will be closed down. I know I wouldnÆt invest in someone who doesnÆt know what theyÆre doing and IÆm not expecting you to be any different.

Yes an audit is possible but if the means of transferring my API key to a respected auditor has to be done in game, then I will promptly perform it when I get home from work.

With the introduction of FW I've also been doing some t1 ship and module sales. No intent for long term activity, just measuring the overall new demand and supply. So this is definitely a worthwhile venture for the amount of funds.

I nabbed some pre-researched BPOs a bit ago and have done some T1 production...due to other things haven't really hopped in it too much, but frankly, with small capital I feel there is equal opportunity for % gain as there is in trading. It is a nice place to get started, and right now is a ripe time in areas that aren't over crowded already.

Mazzarins Demise is the CEO, and has two alt characters; Plumpy McPudding and Slanty McGurglefist. I was given access to all characters via Full API key.
Mazzarins Demise has the skills, blueprints and material resources to produce T1 Frigates as well as a variety of Tech 1 modules. Very detailed report SoleDeo. My only recommendation would be for you to run the report via the owner of the operation prior to release. Providing the links you did allowed everyone to see precisely what he has been trading with to date. Whilst we can't see his profit margins we can see that those assets aren't his personal assets to use, but items picked up off buy orders for resale across the region (or a few jumps).
Be careful with the level of information you provide. If the OP doesn't have a problem with all of this being listed then that is no problem but confirm with him prior to listing.
Other than that, it's a fantastic piece of reporting, probably a bit too much info but no-one can discredit you for being too thorough. Keep up the good work  |

Currently I hold 20% (200 shares) of my own stock, but since my IPO was more popular than I originally thought, I had the idea of selling the 200 shares I have to the first two on the reserved list. And to further my answer to Charni, I don't see a problem selling the shares I have to the first two who reserved shares. An Audit has already been done and has been approved upon by the auditor, who also sent his ISK to me to buy shares, so i don't think there will be a problem. Expect an EVE mail to you and aegisburnem, who was the first to reserve shares. I'll send you guys a message when I get home. |

You got it man. For future reference, the list of the names on the reserve list are in order. So the people at the top will receive the offers first, but if I decide to increase the shares by 1000, everyone will more than likely receive an offer for shares.

Just a little update:
I'm a little behind on a game review so I have to write it and send it to my editor when I first get home from work. Dividends will still be paid today, but they'll be coming later tonight. I'll post the monthly report then as well.
The monthly report itself won't have nearly as much information as I'd like since I started using EMMA towards the end of the month. The data only encompasses the middle of the month to now. Regardless, investors will be very pleased with the progress and profits that have been made.
