Greetings,
I remember reading articles and interviews about this matter a while ago, but it seems to have died out a bit? Or am I wrong?
Ofcourse now everyone is talking about the Faction Warfare wich released recently. But I'm more eagerly waiting to have a walk around inside stations :)
Any update on this CCP might give us?

Try reading the Dev Blogs or generally paying attention.
Also this is not a Feature or Idea, and should go in General Discussion. |

The latest Dev blog about this topic has been from what? 2007? There is still a general discussion topic going on from a dev post dating back to march last year! And as that topic is being hijacked like every other topic in General Discussion, it's no use posting there.
Second this is a new feature isn't? Something new going to be added to the game?

He's right. You'll get more information when it is posted publically. Trust me, people will be all over it, and CCP knows that people want to know more. They'll get it to us when they get it to us.

Everyone is looking forward to it... and has been for the last 5 years.
Ambulation was talked about ages ago, along with flying around planet surfaces.
But the recent release of Factional Warfare, and the awesome combat graphics update of Trinity... shows that CCP would rather cater to the  Pirate PvP gameplay before they ever get around to the  Care Bear storyline content.

FW is to help non-PVPers get into PVPing. CCP believes EVE to be a PVP oriented game, and is trying to help carebears get into the whole EVE experince. And who doesnt love the new graphics?
Some people can complain about anything.

Yes actually. There is a volcano in Iceland named Hekla, which used to be referred to as the "gateway to Hell" during the middle-ages.  Linkage. So we are expecting the release of Ambulation when hell literally does freeze over
