I've got the incompatible build error, too. Additionally I can't get to http://www.eve-online.com/patches/patches.asp, it just gives a "The connection was reset" error on my browser.

Same problem.. Incompatible build, and broken link to the manual patch. eve-mon says 18000 people are online :(

Mmm - on a mac here - dl the optional patch some time ago - just started the client and was asked to dl the new patch - it installed - Eve works I'm in (phew!).

And yet they can't eve fix the fact that in FW you can't see allied militia as unique on your overview.
