I too have a bone splinter, but just in case any Minmatar are willing to trade it in exchange for Epidermis Slivers (the rarest fragments, you realise) I will be donating it to the cause as well. I suggest you do the same, as every little bit helps.
Robb, you have the rarest type of fragment, and it is the type our race needs. Believe me, this is a trustworthy cause, and the potential reward later on will very much be worth it.
Nightfang, I suggest you update your top post to include any additional information you've added, so that new viewers will instantly and efficiently see how things will function.

Seeing as my reputation is hurting the cause, I will withdraw from the public spotlight of this event and leave it to more the more renown and respected characters such as Artegg and Faramir.
Status report so far: We have set up the channel "Gallente-Jove" (channel "Gallente" works fine too) and are trying to coordinate work from there. People drop in to donate their pieces and to gain more information on how to help us in our quest.
So far it's kind of disorganized. Our first goal is to await the establishment of NPC prices. When we know of these, we will buy pieces off people for these very prices. Me and Faramir have volunteered to act couriers to the far reaches of the galaxy. By purchasing at NPC price, we make a guarantee to you other people that we are not making anypersonal profit out of this, since when we later sell them in bulks of 1000 units we will only get the cash we've spent returned to us.
We've also set up HQ in Luminaire, universally central system and capital of the Gallente Federation. As for now we've appointed Artegg our primary "stockholder", meaning all pieces we acquire will go to him. It will be easier to get a good overview that way. Artegg is also a well respected and known character, so the issue of trust shouldn't be a problem. Even I, his enemy-by-corps, is working along with him on this one. I'm hoping it will make it worthwile being Gallente
In summary: Channel "Gallente-Jove" or "Gallente" - HQ in Luminaire - awaiting NPC price establishment.
A big thank you to all who have already donated to the cause. May we bring this economical battle to victory!

Chode is Minmatar filth. This has nothing to do with corp affiliations, only race

I'm in for the might of the federation!
I believe that the MAZA corporation will also support this cause.
One point though, as proud gallenteans we should honour our democratic traditions and hold an election for the representative of this event.
We should also make sure that no profit can be made by this and advertise it so we can gain the trust of our fellow citizens.

donated my two epidermis slivers and standing by with financial support which, i'd like to point out, was refused by Nightfang on the grounds that involving money this early in the game would possibly lead to corruption of the effort.
this is legit.
let's get it together, Gallente! hand 'em all over. it doesn't matter what you have or how much. as long as the Gallente buyers get what they want and the buyers from the other races DON'T get what they want, we're good.

This is how I propose we move forward with the organization of it all:
1) We elect a Chairman.
The Chairman will be the holder of ALL jove pieces. When the NPC buyorders come out, he will be the one making the market sales. The purpose of the Chairman is to get an easy overview of the situation, and to be able to fill the 1000 unit requirement in the first place.
2) We introduce Couriers.
Both me and Faramir have already volunteered and acted as couriers, flying to distant places of the universe picking up donations and bringing them together. I suggest we establish so that all runners gather and relay their collected bodyparts to the Chairman, without making personal profit (ie: If the Courier buys bodyparts, the sells them to the Chairman at the same price. If he gets donated bodyparts, he donates them to the Chairman). Couriers also spam the following message wherever they go in channels:
"Gallente! Donate your Jovian body parts to the cause! Convo me for more info or join channel "Gallente" - if we win this ALL Gallente will benefit!"
Both the Chairman and the Couriers will reside in the channel "Gallente", getting tips at where to pick bodyparts up and informing curious people about our efforts.
3) The rest of the community.
This is the most important group - it's the majority of the EVE Gallente players. If you don't want to or simply don't have the time to act as a Courier, you can still help an awful lot by spreading the word! Inform your mates about the "Gallente" channel and try to gather bodyparts to bring to any Courier. Go to channel "Gallente" if you want to make donations.
I think this model would be the easiest to organize. It's all dependant on spreading the message and the "Gallente" channel, where we can coordinate our Couriers and efforts.
As soon as the buy orders come up and the NPC price for each bodypart is established, I suggest we skip the donations-system and go with a strict NPC-price policy, i.e. every courier buys the pieces at NPC price and then sells them to the Chairman at that very same NPC price. This insures no one loses out on cash or that the Chairman gets personal profit by this all.
I also realize most people have trust issues with me personally. That's fine - I've got a shady past and there's nothing I can do to erase that. I'd like to stress that I will be giving all pieces to the elected Chairman and that the recent devblog suggests the bonus will be race-wide and not tied to the specicif sellers of the parts. Go read it to make your own mind up! And if you still don't feel you can trust me specifically, I still beg you to come to the "Gallente" channel and speak to some other people in there. We've got a fair share of respected pirate hunters working together on this one, and I'm sure you will find comfort in some of them!
I do have a personal agenda in all of this, granted. I have a 12M skillpoint Gallente character, and whatever reward is given to the Gallente by the Jove if we win - that means I will get an advantage over the other player races. The same goes for all of us! That is what we are fighting for!
Go to channel "Gallente" and do your part today! We need all the help we can get!

Btw, I nominate and vote for Artegg to be Chairman. He's a member of Rona-KIA, one of the most respected anti-pirate forces there is today. He is my enemy on the battlefield, but I will lay my trust on him in this quest. He has the same things to win as I do...

I know that you arent as well funded as the operation BIG is running. But what is going to happen when the rewards are passed out and TLBC a pirate corp for all intents and purposes gets the magic Jove reward..which lets face it could be nothing or it could be a hell of a lot of something..and it'll be in the hands of a pirate corp.
At the end of the day i agree with your cause, but when this is over you go back to podkilling anyone you meet regardless of race..so not flaming you by any means when i say that your current goodwill toward gallente will be a temporary fashion...or will it?
I have many of the jove bits, unfortunately no cerebrals :( but a considerable amount of epidermis and a collection of all the other races. Convince me of where im wrong in your venture and i'll put my support 100% behind you and offer courier services if required.

I think it would be graet to have an IGB site in which we kept a running tally of how many pieces we've gathered, to see how far ahead we are in our goal.
And goddamnit, let's stop this *****ing over lack of trust. There IS NO reward for whichever corp turns in the most parts, and EVERYONE in the race will benefit. I have been helping to fight pirates for months (our former alliance, OSAL, helped to liberate Orvolle from Bovine forces back in the day) but I am willingly and happily handing over my fragment to Nightfang and the rest of them.
Our race has been the fastest in organizing such a group together (no doubt thanks to our "entrepreneurial" spirit) and with the Amarr having already been granted a full-blown Imperial Championship to participate in, it is now the time for the Gallente to rise to prominence in the galaxy by currying Jovian favor! I will be in channel Gallente to contribute in whatever way I can, as well as help track down more of the cerebral slices.

And don't be afraid, no distance is far enough for us. We will fly as many jumps as necessary to further the Gallente cause.
Hopefully friday we can get a nice boost in collection when we can finally start buying the required parts as the empires will put up their buy-orders.

The "gallente" channel is good too. Nice friendly fun atmosphere in there, I would recommend it to any gallente to pop in and have a chatter even if you aren't donating items. After all you might know someone who is :)

I'll be contributing to this as well, and will be getting the support of the Gallente/Intaki in my corp as well as others who simply do not care for their own race ;)
If pirate and anti-pirate organizations/players can band together under the common banner of race, then we've already accomplished more than any other group in eve so far..
Donate your parts, and keep in mind that if successfull, you benefit automatically.
Me? I want that damn jovian favour, ship, skill, bonus, money, whatever it is, I want it. Why? Cos its the DAMN JOVIANS.

Many characters and many corps represented.
And since Nightfang has seen people play the "pirate" card he has since dropped his parts to me.
