After all this talk of suiciding, i was wondering what it would take to suicide a T1 hauler solo? And what about a T2 one?

Just attack it in high-sec and concord will kill you. Mission complete :)
Anyway - assume you have 10 seconds in 1.0 and 30 in 0.5. Up to you to deliver the damage before concord shows up.

A high damage BC with a 1600mm plate and damage control in the lows for t1, never ganked a t2 hauler before.

I was told by smeone that it could be done relitively easily in a rax just no, this true?

I couldn't do it with an omen, but you may have better luck with a rax.

Edited by: Cadde on 01/07/2008 17:38:06 It's really simple:
For 1.0 sec systems: success = ((your_DPS * 10) - target_EffectiveHitpoints)
For 0.5 sec systems: success = ((your_DPS * 30) - target_EffectiveHitpoints)
That is, if success is a positive number... You win! --------------- Opinions expressed are those of my own and does in NO WAY reflect the opinions of whatever corp/alliance i am currently part of. |

fixed! dps has to be higher in 1.0 to equal the succes in a 0.5 system

lol
Of course, the other guy was correct. Put in 100 DPS and 2000 EHP and see if you can gank it in 0.5 and 1.0.
Hint: You can gank it in 0.5, but not in 1.0.

fixed! dps has to be higher in 1.0 to equal the succes in a 0.5 system
The 10 and 30 values are the time you spend doing that dps. So your 'corrected' equations are saying that your ship will live longer, and therefore do more total damage, in a 1.0 system than in a 0.5 system.

Good setup everyone who is trying to gank use this.
Or simply work out that infact a BC can tank gate guns long enough to kill the target without a 1600 plate, just fit for damage and tracking. Brutix works best for the majority of targets. T2 Haulers are a different kettle of fish and usually your better off using a nice gankgeddon for those.

They can tank just enough to allow concord to arrive and rage you in a 0.5 from my experience if tanked intelligently.
