Thx god i didnt get a seizure yet but im close.
3hours of my life wasted trying to figure it out, i cant believe pixels get me mad and close to insanity.
I have the crok reprocessing lvl4 skill I have the crok compressing BPO,s I have the industrial core I have heavy water I have my cargo half filled with crok
So I rightclick the crok blueprint in my cargo and select manufacturing , then pick installation.
Then after that , i dont know what im doing wrong but these are my settings:
-Activity = all activities -Location = my ship -Range = current solar system -Type = personal -Prod category = all -Group category = all
I tried loads of other settings , and at one point i had to stop coz my neighboors started knocking on my door complaining about my loud cursing noises..
Setting up the rorqual to compress is like filling in 50 pages of administration , 1 mistake and the whole damn thing doesnt work , i hope this ship has warranty because i think mine is broken !!1!
Thx in advance for any help.

Just clearing out some basics... was the industrial core "turned on" when you did that ? Tried fiddling with the filter settings some more, even apparently irrational settings like "my corp" or "my hangar" or similar if available ?
Mind you, I haven't seen the inside of a Rorq other than once upon a time on SiSi flown by a buddy, and I've never trained for one on TQ on my char, so take everything I just said with a grain of salt...

Thx for your responce !
I tried it with the industrial core on and off with multiple settings
I only have one option for input/output and thats "my hangar"
Nothing seems to work

check your science and industry tab, try "delivering" the job...
also it has been known to eat the rocks and the BPO if you have 2 cores fitted(can only have on online but can fit more) and that second core fitted will mess everything including logs so that CCP ca not hand back the lost items...

1. Place uncompressed ore in cargohold with the blueprints (i would have a small can with all the blueprints in myself).
2. enter industrial mode where the 4 assemblylines will become active
3. start installing manufacture jobs (rgt-click on bp is easiest in the cargohold)
4. Stagger the install and delivery so you always have enough space, once you deliver move to another hold for storage and transport until all your compression is done.
5. Exit industrial mode and start packing ships and hanger space with compressed ore for jump back home.
Provisional capacities as follows:
Cargohold = 20,000m3 Corp Hanger = 10,000m3 Ship Maintenance Bay = 800,000m3 (restricted to mining barges, exhumers, industrials and transports).

And this is the step he's having problems with, apparently, if I understood him right. He can't install the job.

BTW you need 1250 units of Crokite (20k m3 total) for one run that gets compressed to 1000 m3. So ratio is 20:1. So you can do 6 runs in ur usuall hold size of 126091 m3 with 3x EC2, 3x CO1.
Dont lose it over few pixels :))

Without better description what happens I cant guess which step is wrong... On top of my head when reading that he turns off/on/off his ind. core..
If you fit another 'batch' into the ship by starting the assembly lines building before coming out of industry mode. All the minerals have vanished into the assembly line and won't appear out of the other end until you re-enter industrial mode.
So ind. core must be turned on! Also loke previos poster said.. fit only one ind. core.

I just tried again , but gave up after 15min as its bad for my bloodpressure.
I cant find any assembly lines on this ship , you guys sure that the rorqual has any ?? and that its not some sort of joke that CCP pulls on us ?
The industrial core is maybe only to see a ship transformation show , and entertain some people.
Im not sure if i wanna try again , or i will end up walking and hand and feet

Edited by: Shaddam V on 03/07/2008 17:16:20 Steps that find it for me:
1. Put at least 1000 units of Arkonor into your cargo bay 2. Put the compression bpo into your cargo bay 3. Turn on Industrial Core 4. Right click bpo...manufacturing 5. Pick Installation 6. Actvity=manufacturing Location=Any Range = Current System Type = Personal Prod. Catag = All Prod. Group = All 7. Choose your ship in the list of installations 8. Four lines will be available, pick one. 9. Use assemblyline...ok...accept quote
To deliver, use your science and industry tab and get jobs.
Also, you know you have to do this while undocked in space with the core activated. Someone once told them they were trying to do this while docked and they thought fitting the core in station turned it on.

Go then - there are other worlds than these. |

Yes i rightclicked on the BPO in my cargo , then the window pops up with the "pick installation" option , i also tried on the science and industry tab , as for location i tried both "my ship" and "any"
No luck so far with finding the assembly lines :(

I followed exactly the same steps , doesnt work here , i think my rorqual is bugged
Funny thing is some months ago a friend of mine who compressed alot before jumped in my ship and he couldnt get it to work aswell , eventually he brought his own rorqual and he had no problem..
I petitioned it yesterday , i hope i get responce in less then a month.
Thx for your help both.

Np, and if its bugged; try repacking ship. With repacking every config/setup of ship stat/name/insurance is reset.
Have fun!!

You'll just have to wait for the petition unfortunatly. The GM's should either be able to fix the Rorq that you have, or repackage it and re-rig it for you.

Pfft, there are better ways and means than Rorqual-based compression, despite CCP's best efforts to the contrary. Zzz research towers Direrie NEW: Liekuri

Not really on topic at all, but the Rorqual is the best, and ONLY method of ORE compression in the game, so I'm not sure what you are trying to get at. There are better methods of mineral compression in game, but that is NOT the same thing. The Rorqual is still the best way to bring ORE back from remote mining ops to a refinery. It is also a great way to speed up POS Ice refining.
