Nano ships seem like alot of fun, however i'm Gallente and ive found tht neither of the Gallente cruisers can pull off this type of setup. i would like to start a discussion about what Cruiser you think is the best nano cruiser and why.

Stabber, vexor, arbitrator. For obvious reasons. Nano caracal (or rather it's navy counterpart) might be good, but I'm not sure on mass/speed.

I reckon nano vexor works, as a Gallente ship pilot willing to win fights the nano way you will need drone skills no matter what.

nano omen is nice, good against other t1 nanoships too, due to mainly em damage with scorch

Nano-stabber, but only because of speed. Not so great damage nor anything else. Good for scouting though.

The T2 hulls are better not only because they are more specilized and do more damage for the most part (or utility), but because T2 resistances are the key to a sucessful nano ship. Without those passive resists you will find yourself in more trouble then not. The exception is the Stabber which does no damage to speak of anyway so its basically a big interceptor. ----

Edited by: Lilith Velkor on 05/07/2008 11:54:06 Edited by: Lilith Velkor on 05/07/2008 11:35:46 Do not forget the Bellicose, it works very good, even better than the stabber or arbitrator imho.
Quite a bit slower than the stabber, but still fast enough to almost compete on a serious level (unlike the arbitrator), and like the arbitrator it can fit a nice tank, inject for permamwd or even a surprise web.
If you go for missiles/drones and small arties you can stay at a very convenient range while still being able to project most of your on-paper dps while going full speed (t2 disrupt should be mandatory).
If you decide to go for autocannons/drones and and light missiles, you need to slow down and keep the target at a much shorter range, but you'll still out-dps the stabber since almost half your damage is in drones/missiles.
Now a real drawback is you have to take care of your drones since you have no replacements, but I guess you cant have everything
Edit: forgot to mention, speed is 3km/s (3.4km/s) with my skills (with my gangbonus), which are decent but not top-notch I'd say.
Edit2: med cap injector requires insane amount of SP, can be replaced by small injector II and it leaves grid to upgrade missiles/arties.

Very nice Lilith, at least on paper. Arguably my opinions represent to an extent the opinions of my alliance and in particular circumstances give rise to a valid "casus belli" claim. |

I love the arbitrator, it does excellent DPS while also being able to carry backup drones.

This fitting does 2.5km/s and ~240dps at my skills, which should be quick 'enough' to avoid serious damage. High slots are purely situational, I use the cloak while in 0.0 and swap to something else when I'm in empire. ________

Nano Vexor
180mm Autocannon II x4 [barrage] Medium Nos II
10mn MWD II Large Shield Extender II Warp Disruptor II
2x Overdrive II 2x Nano II
5x Valkyrie II 5x Warrior II
With 3 midslots and <3km/s speed its not the best nano ship. Replace the Medium Nos with a Medium Neut if you are worried about interceptors and if you cant use t2 medium ac, maybe try using small artillery.
Use it in a gang and keep an eye on your capacitor.
Hardwirings are definitely recommended (Cy-1, My-1, Zor's Custom Hyper-link).

I always giggle when I see a nano fit with ACs.
What is the optimal range of Autocannons? 1-5km. What is the range on a stasis webifer I? 10km. What is a webbed nano? A dead nano.

Nano Navy Caracal outperforms the Nano Cerb due to the handy 3rd rig slot.

What is the optimal range of Autocannons?
Do you look at many Vagabond setups?
Question: what is the falloff of autocannons with Barrage (especially on a Vaga)?
