The time to 'buy' a lifetime subscription was before the 15th of June. At that time 38 monetary units bought a GTC or 380 million isk (side note: 35 monetary units buy the same 380M ISK right now as well), so 500 of them would have bought enough to finance GTCs forever through ebank or Jita market orders.
However, it was a pretty good bet that 90 day GTCs would go at least 30% higher after the price hike on the 15th -- someone interested in a lifetime sub could have done it for about $350, IMO.
