I just wished ccp would hold a vote on ship types before they release them a maurader would be my last idea at pvp or pve, whats the point haveing extra slots for a 50k salvager what?, your going to salvage hundreds of millions? horrific waste of time and isk

A lot of people saying "you must fit ECCM" or "falcons will end your day" or even "they're totally useless"
I have to disagree. A properly skilled falcon will keep a target BS of any sort jammed full time. If they're that keen to see you jammed, they will accomplish it with ease. I reccommend use of remote ECCM on such a primary-ew-targetas this, but its a waste of slots to use local ECCM.
The real threat to the Kronos et al are ECM drones. Low sensor stregnth makes these babies shine. However, the marauders all have 3 highslots free and there happens to be highslot mods that make you invulnerable to ECM drones. I'll let you figure out the rest.
They have their disadvantages, but the advantages over faction bs (Except the utterly awesome Nightmare) include tank+gank at the same time, very nice web bonus (TP and falloff a bit less so, but still of use), T2 resists, defence bonuses and the ability to perform cap warfare at the same time as full damage.
The disadvantages are significant of course, but to say they have no role is to be quite unimaginative.

Actualy I meet a Torp Golem today, and the Neutron Mega next to it looked like a Low DPS Ship compared to it. Realy scary, might have poped if I hadnŠt a Falcon it the Gang(that jammed the Neutron Mega fist /facepalm).

And yes I used a Navy Mega with quite a nice Tank on it. Its simply a bad joke how mutch Damage this thing puts out.

Projected ECCM makes for nice cascade failure...
