I have been discussing around a few and apparently still a lot of players of Caldari characters are unaware of the current effort being set up to gather the jovian parts needed by the Caldari State.
Indeed, not all forum users do read the Intergalactic Summit nor the Events forums, but the worse is that a large part of other players do not care at all about the forums and may be completly missing what is currently done on the Caldari side. So we need the word to be spread about it.
The first thing to make public knowledge is the Caldari representant vote thread going on in the event forum. We, the players which characters are handling the gathering so far, want the organization to be the more legit possible, and so have decided that the Caldari characters playerbase would have to vote for who will be finaly handling the collected jovian parts for the Caldari State, and be in charge of sharing the earned wealth with the donators.
The second thing to talk about would be the Exceptional Temporary Council presentation thread which present the in character side of the organization, as we also want to roleplay the whole event the best we can.
And the last but not least thing to make check is the in character 'Caldari State Citizens' channel, where you can meet the actual council members where they are online (and they do their best to always have at least one of them online anytime) but also a lot of other Caldari characters spending a lot of time and energy trying to grant the Caldari State the best chances to be successful in this event.
Oh one may also want to have a look at www.caldari.tk, where all the donators and donations are made public knowledge.
Remember, a big pile of jovian guts is made of a lot of tiny bits, so each help counts !

and don't forget........bring about caldari glory means holding onto all non caldari wanted jovian parts.
the more you can gain and hold onto is the less that there is available to turn in to the other races.
not to sound dirty sneaky underhanded low down back stabbin in any sort of way
wouldn't you know i got bone splinter and blood drop, so all I can do to help my race is stay true to them and trash these two parts and hope for the best.
such a great thing to be part of an event that the only way i can take part is by not taking part.

I think the other races may be getting a little worried by our efforts. If there are any other Caldari organisations/corps or alliances holding on to pieces, now is the time to come forward and contribute. I think this would demoralise the the other races and prove to be a huge stride forward for our race.

I think the caldari and gallente stand the best chances of winning this.Ofcourse the Amarrians are out of the race straight away, it would seem many people didn't like to be labelled as 'slave traders' when creating their character.I dunno, slaves are kinda kinky in my opinion.
OFFT maybe its my 1600x1200 resolution but your signature looks a bit 'squeezed' together if you know what i mean.

Consider converting your sig to advertise the collection of parts for the Caldari Cause.
This is a once in an eon oppurtunity to get involved. Sig cost nothing ....you can put it back to your old one later...
Maybe we could have a contest for best sig advert for the cause ?? Looks to Council for support of interest in this idea...maybe a prize maybe not ...its a thought....

Ok, a new Caldarian here -
First, thank you for making me aware of an effort with this post.
Second, all posts (such as this) on this subject should include a direct link to a quick explanation of where newbies (or practiced players) can actually get a hold of parts to help the effort. You'll bring a lot more on board the effort if they understadn what it is that needs done, and every post about it is a potential advertisement to new Caldari to learn and help.
I'm aware now (thank you), but still lost on the where/how part.

SCC Announces Date For Commencement of Jovian Part Trade
SCC spokesmen today released a statement explaining that the moratorium placed on the upcoming Jovian body part trade has been extended until Wednesday of next week.
According to the statement, issued on behalf of Commission CFO Rayla Netho, the setting of the new date is due to the ôlogistical problems inherent in an undertaking of this size. There is no precedent for this kind of market venture, and extreme caution needs to be exercised in order to protect economic stability.ö
The statement also contains details on SCC-proposed changes to the buy-back proceedings. In order to facilitate participation from a larger number of individuals, the minimum order size for each part will be reduced from the previously-planned 1000 units to more manageable sums, corresponding to each partÆs relative rarity.
More details will be released once the SCC has finalized the arrangements.

here's a list of all the threads and news pertaining to the Jovian Arc. As well as all the races efforts etc.
Basically, all accounts got 2 pieces of jovian at the last station the account docked at.
Each Race needs one type of pieces of the Jovian (in Caldari's case, Liver Bile) and ALL races want epidermis.
the race that fills the most buy orders depending on rarity of the item (though with the suggested changes, that will be factored and it will be most sell orders) will gain a bonus to which ALL MEMBERS OF THAT RACE gains. ((yep, thats all player character Caldari out there))

I extend my thanks to all that have helped and extend my concerns to those that have not.....
IF you help now to further the future of this Caldari Race you will benefit along with others.
Dont feel that as one person that you cant not assist...I donated two parts and now try to keep the momentum going on these posts....
I cant offer much but I give what I can.
I dont say this for praise I say this to indicate that even one man corps and indivduals can make a difference.
I for one wouldnt want to be the player bemoaning the lose of a potential Jovian favour to another race but also know in my heart that I contributed nothing...

This was gleaned from the Jovian and SCC databases HERE. (2004.05.18 10:46:51)
There are five body parts: Epidermis Sliver, Bone Splinter, Blood Drop, Liver Bile and Cerebral Slice. As some of you have surmised, some parts are rarer than others. Roughly speaking, 50% of the total number of body parts are Epidermis Sliver, ca. 25% are Bone Splinter, 13% Blood Drop, 7% Liver Bile and 5% Cerebral Slice. This means that there are ca. ten times as many Epidermis Slivers out there than there are Cerebral Slices.
Jovian parts are being collected for the good for the whole Caldari State. Donate or sell them in comm channel "Caldari State Citizens". Do your part for the Caldari State, Aid in the collection for everyone, yourself included!"
You can ESCROW the item to any council member. The council member are ManicMiner, Aerynth, Xrak and Jera. Remember and send a mail saying the location of the escrow.

Empires compete to collect Baniya - winner gains favor of Jove
Tunai Moran, CONCORDÆs Jovian representative, stated today that to further encourage the collection of Misa Baniya, the parties that assist the Empires in this undertaking would get limited blueprints of prototype cloaking technology. The technology being developed by Jove assistance at CONCORD is rumoured to originate from Crielere labs.
He further stated that "... the Empires will start collecting Baniya tomorrow, wednesday on the regional markets. All will buy Epidermis Sliver in minimum batches of 1000, each unit at 20.000 ISK totalling 20M ISK for each batch.

After much anticipation the Hadean Drive Yards have announced that they will abstain from the collection and distribution of the Jovian material.
Rumors abound the powers that be are wanting to hand out a blueprint copy of cloaking technology to the single Corporation which meets their 1000 unit quota and the Executives and members of the Drive Yards feel this is less than par.
In a statement today, the CEO was quoted as saying "Why should we contribute to the technological advance of a potential competitor, or an outright enemy. The parts aren't really worth selling individually at 20,000isk each and 1000 units are only worth 20,000,000. We can rest assured that we would not receive any of the cloaking technology should we contribute. Overall I think this was a poorly thought out scheme by an as of yet unknown entity who clearly did not give it much thought!"
After stating the above Mr. Carter turned on his heel and walked back into the Drive Yards headquarters, flanked by members of the Executive Branch.

Tis a sorry day one when racial brother refuses to help another.
Whilst the scheme is not considered a "well-thought-out" by a large number of people we do still have a chance that doesnt come by often.....
The Jovian space has been closed to us and having been less than well positioned in the demise of a Jovian we would not do any less than GAIN from a standing re-positioning.
I think it unfortunate that the Jovian planners muddied the waters with plans that mean "Individual gain".
I gave my parts in the time when a racial gain was on the cards...whilst I would like a material gain to myself I will rise above this matter...I will not sacrifice the Racial gain for profit.
Surely even the most avaricious Caldari can see that Short Term gains are not the way.
Long term growth is the surest way to long term profits and growth.
Other Caldari Corps might do well to think on this matter.
Rumors of "Cloaking" Tech will I hope be like the rumours of Jumpdrives....Wrong.....
I think the Jovians may be playing with us in this matter...

Time is counting down citizens until the ETC and many other Caldari sell the fragments of the Jovian Misu Banyia. We ask you to keep on the lookout for these fragments and continue to spread the word* to your work collegues, employees, customers and other associated personal. Even to dock workers, station bar stewards and other drunken patrons of any establishment you enter in your travels. It is your duty to ensure that the Caldari people gain the Jovian Directorates favour to ensure our continued technological supremacy.
Also, I ask you to speak to those you know who have completed Epidermal Sliver batches to ensure that they sell these to the Caldari State commisoners. Those commisoners will be rewarding sellers with cloaking technology in return for your actions and this technology will be the best available** to any Empire within WEVE due to our already close connections with the Directorate.
