But it gets me by. I can switch between 2 accounts just fine and play the game with 2 characters at the same time. It might soon need that second gig of ram though.

(can probably handle more, as the RAM has space left and the graphics card only works on the client that is showing on screen) On windowed, 2 clients gets about 10 FPS, and 3 is unbearable. CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that.

I recently bought an acer aspire 5520 - Handles 3 clients on eve classic. 512 gfx, 2g processor and 3 gig ram. runs at about 70% ram (and thats with vista) - cost me ú400 from currys.

This is high end but i love my computer and it's not too expensive anymore compared to when i built it. CPU: Q6600 overclocked to 3.2ghz Vid: 8800GTX KO (overclocked model from eVGA) Ram: 4GB PC6400 I have run 4 clients at once but ya then i can sorta see a slow down. I run all the clients in windowed mode so i can chat on msn and play and easily watch the other clients. I also play on classic vs the new one. And on classic i have all the visuals turned on.

Anyway I biggest difference I have found is only running a single client in Premium and using classic for the rest. The biggest difference a piece of hardware made was upgrading the RAM from 2 to 4 GB. Dual Core vs. Quad Core seemed to make little if any difference despite tying the clients to different cores. New Graphics card only made a small difference to frame rate. (and now for the epeen) I built my own rig. This was my first attempt at doing so. It runs 2 Clients in Premium smoothly or up to 6 in Classic. It also runs AoC, 4 Classic Eve and DoW all at the same time smooth as anything. Intel Q9300 CPU Asus Striker II Motherboard 2 x WD 74GB 10krpm HDD (One for Vista One for Eve) 1 x Samsung 1 TB 7200prm HDD 4GB Corsair Memory (I forget which) Scythe Ninja Heatsink and Fan 2x 9800GTX GPU 1 x X-Fi Soundblaster soundcard 6x Syncmaster 245B 2 x Triple headtogo Monitor Splitters ---

Yeah, It's simple & easy as well. Dual screen's easy too, but omg in premium what a puter you need! Also.. who does not have both a stationary and a laptop nowadays? Me laptop got HDMI output so it's nber sweet to plug EVE on the 42* TV :P

The only thing I fear, is running out of beer!

I bought it at a store near my home.) I don't have time to assemble it yet, so I'm using my old P4 HT with 2GB RAM and the nVidia 8600GT on, and it can handle the Premium client at 1680x1050 fullscreen at around 30-50 fps.
