Hey there
I've been gone for 8 months and just activated "hours for plex" because I thought I had 680mil on my account, but only have 280mil...
I can't afford to buy a PLEX and I don't have time to sell all of my ore.
If anybody can sell me a plex for 280mil I would love you very much
I really want to get back into EVE but can't afford to spend $15 to buy gametime.
The best I can do is give you my ore, but I don't know how much it is worth anymore.
There's 3.5hrs left on my account so I don't have much time >_< |

I only have my retriever other than my ore and I need to keep that.
I was in a carebear corp and only did high-sec mining. Then we got war dec'd three times and I lost the ambition to mine anymore... so I quit. |

I checked Jita prices and some of the more obscure ores have had a sudden price spike, but i'm sure its just a coincidence. |

'just earn more money' is such a bullshit head in ass suggestion. It's not always an option for people, or they need to use that money for more important things like foor and rent rather than videogames.
OP. Even if you have used your 'hours for plex' by now. Next time you CAN afford to resub to eve you can petition CCP to reactivate your hours for plex. Just explain this situation (you used the hours for plex but found you didn't have enough ISK to buy a PLEX), They are quite understanding as long as you don't abuse the privelige.
The other option is to start a trial account and try to work up enough for a PLEX during your trial time.
Finally, while everyone is free to play as they wish. Doing pure mining is never going to make you much ISK in game and soon becomes nothing more than a chore for the majority of players. If you looked into trading, mission running, incursions or even some factional warfare then you can make ISK easier, freeing up your time to go and do something more fun like exploration or even a bit of PVP, while easily affording those monthly PLEX. There's far more to EVE than mining and I encourage everyone to play around more. You might even like it. (a¦á_a¦â) ~ http://getoutnastyface.blogspot.com/ ~ (a¦á_a¦â) |

Then get back in your barge, restart training to a hulk, and get mining. Minerals are up! Also, if you need to raise cash in a hurry, contract all that ore to me for 22mil ISK and I'll take it off your hands. That's like two, possibly three L4 missions, depending on what kind of loot I pull in. |

OP, sorry to break this to you, but even if you HAD the ISK for the first month, you would need to be mining in that retriever for about 200-300hours a month (~7 or so hours a day) just to be paying off the PLEX each month after that.
Mining to pay for gametime is about as soul crushing as it can possibly get. - "Do not touch anything unnecessarily. It's like watching people debate which kiddie-coaster is the best in the playland side of a theme park when in over in the main park there are a half-dozen real roller coasters going twice as fast and ten times as high.
20M isk is 10-15 minutes in an anomaly on bounties alone in null sec. And that's not even in a haven or sanctum.

I'm not going to agree with the "people cannot afford...........bitchbitchbitch" it's 15 flipping bucks FFS. It's really not hard to look at ones IRL expenses and figure something out. If not, then pull an extra hour at work/get a better job. OR, (if you work 40/hr weeks like the average full time worker) Ask your boss/employer for the extra 0.093cents/hour. (40hrs/week x 4 weeks = 160/hrs month, $15 divided by 160 = 0.093) "Being drunk is a good disguise. I drink so I can talk to a**holes. This includes me." |

Yeah, you might dislike teenagers, but everyone was a teenager once and simply hating someone because they are a teenager is just plain bigoted.
Moreover, a MMO provides some of the cheapest entertainment per dollar and EVE is in a position of offering payment by PLEX. So somebody cannot afford the subscription fee. They might be working, but be paying hellish child support and barely scraping by. Spending a few hours a night relaxing with EVE when they can PLEX it might just be a good thing for them. Perhaps even better than drinking away $$$ in a bar. Or whatever.
There are potentially as many circumstances as there are people playing EVE. Yeah, it might be a scam. It might not be. |

Just re-read what I said without your stupid prejudices.
Trolling or not it was an earlier post of yours that escalated the conflict in this thread, by turning it into the rights and wrongs of the haves and have- nots.
Would you have given him the ISK? If yes, then why didn't you?
The majority of people would not have, simply because they don't know if he's scamming or not.
Plus I think you'll find that any kind of begging is not allowed on the forum. |

Yeah, she called out the "get a job" crowd. Seemed like a pretty moderate response to me. (Why the **** am I defending Spank?)

I haven't mined for a good while, but I can't recall mining Hemorphite and Jaspet anywhere in high sec.
Where did you find it?

Low sec ores can spawn in high sec grav sites. |

What kind of crappy L4 missions are you running? All the >5k LP missions will net me around 20+ m in bounties, salvage and loot. *chuckle* It's like watching people debate which kiddie-coaster is the best in the playland side of a theme park when in over in the main park there are a half-dozen real roller coasters going twice as fast and ten times as high. 20M isk is 10-15 minutes in an anomaly on bounties alone in null sec. And that's not even in a haven or sanctum. Get out of the shallow end of the pool and treat yourself to the rest of the game :)
lul I took some cheap **** of the market and resold it within half an hour for a 150m profit. Bounty grinding, you sound like children bragging about nothing in school.
Making isk in eve is easy, not time consuming at all and those that can't do it, are just pretty stupid. Spent most of my time this week playing Mass Effect 3. Been online at most 10minutes a day, made a couple bill. Its not moon goo rich, but its not like I had to do much.
How long do you bounty grind to make that? Play smart not boring. |

If you can afford internet and a computer powerful enough to play EVE then you should probably be able to handle an extra 15 dollars a month of expenses. I know the global economy is bad but unless you live in a third world country you should be able to find something that can get you an extra 15 dollars a month. If you simply can't do that then I wonder how you even find time to play EVE in the first place!
Honestly bud, your really not playing EVE if you are just mining.
You shoot rocks with lasers, so you can make enough ISK to buy bigger ships to use for the purpose of shooting rocks with lasers!
If you just mine you will reach end game VERY fast in EVE which for a game with so many options and paths to take, isn't really a good thing.
In your case you wouldn't even be getting to bigger ships. You will be stuck in an infinite loop of being able to just barely afford a PLEX and then proceed to spend the rest of the month working your ass off so you can afford another plex. If you actually enjoy doing that then by all means keep doing that but if you spend the entire month working just so you can pay for another month of working then you will find all enjoyment sucked out of the game.
My advice to you OP: Keep your minerals and ore, and take a break from the game. Then wait for PLEX prices to (hopefully) drop and use those 3 or so free days to buy a new one. Then sell your ore and minerals so you have a bit more starting cash this time around. While waiting for PLEX prices to drop you can try out any number of free games. I'm probably going to get hunted down and podded for saying this but you could try WoW since it's now free up until level 20. I've never played WoW so I don't know how much game time that gives you but it should be sufficient enough while you get your act together. |

3. It was just a potential scam, it is EVE after all.
Anyway, which ever one it was, it's now just a storm in a tea-cup.

Well, I really only access the forums from two computers and when I do I like to post. My passwords are saved so I am too lazy to log out just for the purpose of seeing if I can read the forums while logged out.
