Situation: I am able to use a all Core Complexion R&D agents with this char, but I can't almost any it with my alt, who has no standing at all with that corp. My alt is in the same corp as me and the corp has a standing of 5.53 before skills towards Core Complexion. No one else in the corp has any standing towards Core Complexion (checked it in the corp data).
Question: Why can't my alt char use R&D agents requiring more than approx. 0.15 (or any other agents of that corp)?
Goal: What I would like to achieve is something like that I get the required corp standing with one char and to allow that way all other corp members to use the R&D agents of Core Complexion. Where is the error in this approach? Does one need actual standing towards a corp to use an R&D agent (derived standing no counting)?
Thanks for your help, Barry Barmer

The character needs the standings, not the corp. Too easy to exploit if agents went off corp standings. --------------------------

Yep R&D agents are special hehe so the only way to get standing up is to do missions

actually r and d agents require both a personal and a corp standing, read the info on the agent you are trying to work, the level 4 agent im currently shooting for requires a persoanl standing of 6.9, i have a 6.75 currently at time of writing, AND a corp standing of 4.9, my corps current is only a 3.9ish. Looks like I better encourage some missions among my corpmates eh?

They don't require and are not influenced at all by the standing of any other members of your corp. ;) I know this through experience, not reading descriptions that are often wrong.

When you get above 6.9 go and talk to the agent. You'll be surprised ;)

Yes, the corp standing referred to is your standing to the NPC corp not your player corp's standing. To quote from one agent:
Quote:
You need a minimum effective corp standing of at least 3.30, in addition to an effective faction, corp or personal standing of at least 5.30 to use this agent
Which means your standing to the R&D corp must be at least 3.30. In addition, you need 5.30 standings to either the faction, corporation, or agent.
So, if you have 5.3 standings with the R&D corp, you are good to go. Alternatively, if you have 3.30 with the corp and 5.3 with the faction, that is ok too.
A side effect of this is, if you have your faction standings high enough, you can work for multiple R&D corps in that faction without having to grind your standings towards the R&D corp too high.

I see. So the key is to get faction standing for the corp high enough, which would allow other corp members to use the agent easier by having only to reach the lower limit (e.g. 3.30).

No, you're still missing it. YOUR corporation's standings mean nothing. It is each individual's standings that are used to determine agent availability. This can be their personal standings from the agent, the npc corp, or the faction (the thresholds may vary, as shown above).
There are some other things to take into account though. Agent -> Player standings go up a LOT faster than NPC Corp -> Player and Faction -> Player. This is advantagous in that you CAN help a corp member gain access to an agent YOU have access to, by completing the mission as a fleet. You acquire the mission, and complete it as a fleet, and all fleet members get the standings boost. This will get your corpmates Agent -> Player standing up high enough to where he can start getting the missions on his own in a relatively short amount of time.

There is NOTHING you can do that allows corp members to gain access to R&D agents.
They ONLY use your PERSONAL standing to the AGENT and his NPC CORP / NPC FACTION.
They do NOT use their standing towards your CORP.
Sorry to say the ONLY way you will get access to better agents with your alt is to run the missions with your alt (or have him part of a gang that turns in the completed missions).
What Bartom is talking about only lets you use R&D agents of the same faction easier if your PERSONAL standing to the faction is high enough, you don't need a PERSONAL standing to the R&D corp of as high. (Useful only if you say have run missions for a navy corp, and have high faction standing, but now want to use R&D agents and so have to build corp standing from scratch etc.)
