Does ganking someone in weaker ship counts as 1v1 if you were the only 2 ppl in a fight?

I'm always (well, unless I'm high enough to suck and sober enough to know it) up for a 1v1, and I always honor them. I had about 10-15 arranged 1v1 so far, and every time the other guy, most of whom I have never met before, honored it. Though one of them "counterfit" to me and I had to bail out, which was easy as he traded his disruptor for ECM. :)
People seem to forget that's it's a effin game we're playing. There is no other goal than to have fun. If you (not directed at anyone, but generally speaking) have a 1v1 dishonored, don't run to the forums and warn everyone from EVER engaging in a 1v1 situation because the world revolves around you and what happens to you will happen to everyone else. If you don't find it fun, don't do it ffs. If you find it fun, do it, and if it's dishonored, go on as always. Until you stop having fun, but if you lose the fun because you had one 1v1 dishonored and got killed, you're in no way better than any of the "omg my Raven got killed I'll ragequit!!!11" carebears.
From my experience, the forum crowd overreacts as always when it comes to 1v1. I have no proof, so maybe I'm really just insanely lucky, but I'd say that most of the 1v1 are honored when it's in T1 ships. When you want to 1v1 in T2 ships (other than frigs), it becomes expensive and the chance that you/the other one dishonors it goes through the roof. So I will continue to go for 1v1, no matter what the crowd says, simply because I find even fights fun. And if somebody dishonors it, I'll suck it up and continue to do so until really everyone dishonors them.

A real 1v1 meaing that no one warps in/undocks to assist one of the pilots. Every time, ive had buddies warp in or they have had buddies warp in. Its gotten to the point now that i use 1v1s to start fleet battles
has any one actually had a 1v1 that was just a 1v1?
The better question is do you? Because last week you were trying to bait people with a fleet of 12 ships sitting in the next system.
Maybe the corp name has something to do with the OP finding it hard to get honourable 1v1 fights.
I've had a few and out of those, two have now joined my corp. Both times, they were roaming in gangs and told their gang mates in local and on vent to stay out of it.
After realizing we weren't complete idiots, they all jumped in and fired on the Kronos outside station. Bravo!

In fact there was one instance with a Black-Out pilot where I asked him for a 1v1 when he was in a fleet that was passing by. He agreed, left his fleet and we fought there was no non-sense and no tricks. The pilot's name was Erroch. Also had one last night.
Maybe it is just because I fly intys a bunch and so do the people I tend to 1v1. But those fights are out there.
I think you were in Fountain, if I remember right, we sat waiting forever for it to finish 2 jumps out. If its the same 1v1 I let happen on an op, neither of you won, and it ended in a draw. I was FC, and I think that more pilots should fight small gang for small gang, or pilot to pilot without the HUGE blob every time.
Seriously, 5 guys roam into your space, instead of 5 guys going after them, 696329893264893274 guys fleet up and try to kill them, sad really, cause small gang combat is some of the most fun, and can last with little lag, for a very long time.

The ones that would honor a 1v1 fit apropriatly to counter your set up, this is why I never do 1v1's it's a lose|lose scenario.
so your saying you wont fight unless you know YOUR going to win, because your scared the other guy might have a set up to counter yours....oh noez.
seriously, wtf dude. why do you even play? Win, Lose, who gives a sh*t if the fight was fun? Remember fun? Its why you played EVE.

If you really want to do a 1vs1, do it in 1.0 sec space using can flagging.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

I recently had a 1v1 honored, three times by the same person. NO LIE. My corp was dec'd by a merc corp Merchants of Mischief but every time we saw them they'd either dock or run. Bummer too since we were really looking forward to a nice small empire dec.
One of their pilots however agreed to some cheap cruiser 1v1 near the end of the war. We dueled 3 times and ended up sharing notes on different tactics and fits for pvp. It was pretty fun.
Props to Alfa225 for being an honorable pilot. It's not often you get duels where all their friends don't show up to gank you.
