When I'm at home I usually don't wear a watch, but I do when I go out. Its just easier to check your watch than to check your phone, which you first need to dig up from somewhere.

Edited by: Malashek Vatrii on 07/07/2008 22:18:17 I wear mine more out of fashion than anything else. I do check it equally as often as my computer clock and my mobile phone. I have this watch. Is nice, and not too expensive. (Oh and I didn't buy it from Tescos. lol.)

I do, mine looks good and as I don't wear jewelry some added metal to the mix is most welcome. Also it's not broken yet which is a new record, going on 4 years, beating the old record with at least 2.

I normally wear a watch because of my job, which is somewhat dirty/dusty, which would end up with a phone getting covered in muck.
Not that my phone actually has a clock.

I turn it off when I get inside. Like any considerate person does, you know? -

I just put mine on silent. *shrug*. If I'm in a movie I don't tend to check the time because it's not like I'm leaving unless it blows :P

I wear watches on my right hand because I'm a left handed writer (i'm cross-dominant), but I still use my right hand for my mouse, and playing instruments, so the catches on the watches scratch my glass mouse pad and scratch the wood on instruments so i just don't wear them any more.
I also don't keep my phone with my as much as most people, majority of the time i just guess what time it is and hope I'm not late.

Arrr don't you know cell phones these days have silent and vibrate options? Altough some cell phones vibrates are just as long as a ringer BRRRRRZZZZZZZ BRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZ My BlackBerry's vibrate is silent, although not noticeable if I'm doing anything that requires any amount of concentration (Thus why it works so well then I'm in class)
But I never wore a watch never will, not that I care about what time it really is...

I haven't owned a watch since the late '80s. Even if you don't have a cell phone, there's always a way to know it if you need to know it. And when you don't need to know it I prefer not to know it.

I used to wear watches when I was in middle school (6-7 years ago now) and in grade school, but I kept losing them and never felt like replacing them.
Once I got a cell phone I just started using that entirely.
Also, I have really small wrists anyway, so I can't find any comfortable watches nowadays __________________________________

I would rather get a watch and throw the phone into the ocean, or at a brick wall, and then into the ocean.

Originally by: Fraszoid I wear a watch constantly, as I always have to know the time, and am constantly planning things out. I remember when I was 5 I got a micky mouse analog watch for christmas to learn to tell time. Then I remember in 1995 I had a basic timex digital watch that I wore every where, much to the point the case cracked and the water resistance was no good, and I accidently jumped in the water at the beach with it on. Surprisingly it still worked, but the display was buggered. Then I got a nicer analog watch after that, with the rotating dial on the outside with indiglo (I've always had Timex as long as I can remember, except the Micky Mouse, don't remember the brand). That lasted until I started high school when I got a really nice Timex Iron Man with an internal memory for up to 50 laps on the chronograph, 5 timers, 10 alarms and a small phone book (used a small LED thing to read flashing lines off the monitor to store it) with a second time zone (set to EVE time of course). That lasted me 7 years until I got my newest watch in January 2007, a nice Timex Perpetual Calendar analog watch with date display. It looks nice, and professional. Ny next watch when I get the money and presteige will be a nice Tag Heur, going to spend 2 grand for an nice automatic watch that will keep me going for the next 50 years until I can get a Rolex.
I still check my cell phone for the time when I need to sync up with friends for a meeting, but my watch is my primary. A day with out my watch is a day of insanity, I remember a few times forgetting my watch and going crazy about not knowing the time. With out my cell its peace and quiet. One time I left my watch at my GFs house, and spent 20 minutes fishing out an old digital watch from behind the fridge because it was driving my insane not having a watch on.
My watch is never very far from me, when on the computer its on my desk or in a pocket usually, and I carry it around when not wearing it. Its like an extention of my self, you don't realize how important and useful it is until you don't have it.
I cant belive there are people as sad as you in this world, Not only did you write a wall of text like anyone even cared it was a simple question not a life story. I can smile knowing am nothing like the person you are, you remind me of a guy who always tryed to hard to make friends.

I don't really use my phone often enough for it to work as a watch replacement. Also, I quite frequently cycle around; it's a lot easier to read a watch than a mobile when I'm on the move. Zzz research towers Direrie NEW: Liekuri

oh I hate watches almost as much as I hate mobile phones lol. As you can guess I don't wear a watch, simply cause I have thin wrists and most men's watches drawf me which ain't a cool look lol that they always feel so damn heavy that I feel I am being weighted down. As for mobiles, excuse me but sometimes I don't feel like being in contact, especially if I am out and about just enjoying life..I don't want it spoiled by a phone. I have a mobile, but it hardly ever has any credit and is as rarely on. There are enough churchs with clocks if I need the time

Ditto.
I know this is just me, but I find that, when asked for the current time by someone, I feel somewhat tacky pulling out my phone.
