Hi Lars and Uber.
Pirating is certainly not dead. I have no idea what it was like years or even months ago because I am a fairly new pilot myself, but I have found plenty of action since I started my pirating life. Here are some examples of what I mean:

Piracy is completely dead. It has become so extremely safe for people to mine and rat in lowsec areas now like Mara and Aurohunen. I would really recommend that everyone flying a battlecruiser or a hulk head on out and get comfortable in these safe and profitable systems.

lol, do you need to re-read my post? And dont get all emo with me. Let me clarify it for you; many people have already mentioned that 'old school' pirates dont pirate anymore, Im saything that yes there are still plenty, its just alot of them have lost interest in the forums, therefore the forums are nothing to go by with regards to pirate activity.
Well then i mistook the tone of your post and I apologize for my aggressive response. Let me make up for it by providing cake and pie for everyone in this thread.
