Quote: Medium turrets have no problems tracking nanos, if you know what you're doing.
Wow, I have to admit thats more than I expected for almost 9k target speed.
Anyways, could you do me a favour and get me the Tracking Value for that according gun type? I just want to know. Pretty please

If they nano you treat them like frigates, get t2 assault launchers with precision missiles and nano's go boom fast if your skills are decent.
You just need to fit antinano thats all, possible with guns/lasers/missiles

For the heavy pulse lasers? It's 0.07617 rads/sec.
EDIT: Using Scorch ammo, by the way. It increases range and reduces tracking speed a bit.

Any skills can't get over 200 dps output even with 7 launchers and 4 BCS II (and it's still reduced by speed over 4500)

You could also try setting a bunch of Smart Bombs in their orbit path.
Crude, avoidable, and likely hard to pull off, but it COULD work.

If you're going to be in smartbomb range, you might as well web them.

Missiles don't have falloff.

Actually they do, it's just not the same kind of falloff. In case of missiles optimal and falloff is speed, not range, and it is explosion velocity and 1500m/s respectively. When target goes at exp velocity + 2*1500 damage is nullified, at exp velocity +1500 damage is about 40%(damage reduction is not linear here), at explosion velocity and less damage is 100%.

Actually, the damage reduction is consistent with turret falloff reduction - at optimal+falloff range (or in case of missiles, speed) you get 40% DPS too (50% chance to hit, but higher quality hits get cut off first except criticals, so overall you end up at around 40% DPS on average too).

You youngsters just dont know how good you got it.
Need to bring back National Service, am I right?
