I have seen the news report and also the the market info, but if the shuttles are supposed to be available where are they? There aren't any in at least 3 of the central regions and there aren't any bp's. Where did the shuttles go? Were they just all bought within a day?

And will they really be 50k? Because if they are then I don't see it as a good way to stop people doing the old Dock & Escape trick...

Dock and excape? you mean eject to get starter ship?
As far as price, I have not seen any price. Though several ppl such as myself have put in buy orders already.
Shuttles will be like U-hauls in that you fly them where your new ship is but unlike using a starter ship, you can then resell the shuttle. Or if you have an indy load it in the cargo hold and bring it back.

ahh I get it. So you could use this method to get all your ships in the same place?
Example I drop my Merlin off at a station. Buy a shuttle, then take off pickup my Indy and bring it to the same station as the Merlin.

I know that they are good but it seems that they don't exist yet, you can't build them because the bp doesn't exist even if you tell it to show all(not just active) items and none seem to be for sale. I myself would like to have 1 or 2 of these shuttles and plan to make excessive use of them. As for cost? they don't have any use except as a shuttle so i would assume maybe 5k, but since i can't find one i don't know.

huh/ I've been using this trick for a long time, except I used an escape pod instead of a shuttle

but shuttles are incredibly more useful than a pod. Shuttles travel at 400 m/s and have 500 units of cargo. This means that just going to pick up ships isn't the only thing that's useful about it. You can also go pick up things you left in all corners of the galaxy like I have done.

Actually I saw several shuttles on the market in various systems for only 5000 isk. This was great at first but then some greedy bafoon bought all the available shuttles up in all the nearby regions and is now selling them for 3x's that. The shuttles would have been a great idea if there was a way to keep this from happening.

But still, one person still doesn't explain the overall lack of them throughout the galaxy, plus with empire support I would have thought that there would be at least one system per region that would sell a couple billion of them.

I don't see what the use of the shuttles are unless they are available in every station at all times. Correct me please, but aren't these things supposed to be a sort of disposeable ship?

Shuttles are supposed to be a way to get all your ships to one base. They had to be tuff enough and fast enough to make the trip unarmed. But they needed to have enough cargo space to let you carry weps for your new ship.
The problem is that while you could do this in a newbe ship you are stuck leaving the newbee ship there. You can not resell your newbee ship on the market cause it's free. This gives you a ship that is recycable/desposable in that you can resell it afterward.

I logged on today expecting to buy a shuttle just to try them out, and what..oh they aren't available. Hmmm...I'm just wondering why CCP didnt put more than 10 shuttles out on the market. They aren't very useful when you can't buy one :p

This is the first time I have ever been ****ed off at CCP. If the shuttles were not in then why did they say they were in the patch? I was expecting to get one of these on thursday, then the patch got delayed, then they still wernt in, they are still not in 2 days later, why bother announcing that shuttles will be out there if they are not? And can someone official actually tell us WHEN they will be there? and I dont6 mean implemented I mean WHEN will I be able to actually FLY one???

We were promised shuttles on Thursday. We should have gotten them on Thursday, not Sunday. Even when CCP did put them on the market, they put such a small amount out that only a few can actually buy them.
If shuttles are the solution to "towing" ships from one station to another, there should be an ample supply of shuttles available all across the world of EVE.
Hopefully tomorrow we can all buy our own shuttle.

In all fairness, I'm sure the non-stop complaints that a mod has to drudge through almost non-stop no matter how good anything is would be enough reason to make someone bitter to those who complain. Seeing as your post was yet another "CCP sucks I can't belive they don't have X thing in blah blah blah" I can see why he would respond in such a way. |

By the way, shuttles don't have 500 cargo space. Their info screen DOES say so, but they actually just have 10m3 cargo, I've fidled around with them on chaos. :/

Secondly, the fact you were caught out being so mind numbingly petty made you turn on the mod and incorrectly use the TOS to try and cloud the issue.

Actually the shuttles were promised on a certain day. They did not arrive as stated and no reason was given for this.
If you were buying a car and you were told it would arrive with air conditioning wouldn't you want to know why the ac was not there?
You are buying this game and time on the servers. When you are told something will be added on a specific date but it does not arrive as advertised then you deserve to be told why. It's the considerate thing to do.
I would like to know what happened to the shuttles also.
Now, everyone shut up and get a life. :)
