Yeah, I know, my ideas are a bit "strange" but oh well, I might randomly find a good fitting some day ^^.
"strange?"
those sound like awful illogical ideas

Edited by: Achura Model on 10/07/2008 21:43:10 The main problem with vaga is you never know what ship you get at those belts - helpless ratter or PvP BS with web, warp dis ant neuts. It can even be some tricky nano BC. You never know... And flying huginn you don't care of it. There is no ship that can catch you up (perhaps aside from other huginn or rapier).
As to gate camps... Well, you always can fly back throu the gate you came from. It's impossible to catch ship flying 3.5 km/s or faster...

Pilgrim. Lowsec gatecamp? No problem, initiate warp, as soon as you see your cap dissapear press f4. Your now cloaked, and chances are rather good (read, just about 99,97% that if you didnt mess up, your safe.
Can it engage only the targets it wants? Check: bookmarks a short distance away from the belts means that you are able to get around the belts reasonably quickly, and stay cloaked (hopefully you place your bms someplace where there are no roids nearby to decloak you). If you want to engage it, get close (5km usually works, but 10km is fine too) uncloak, launch drones, and bbq it. Then grab loot and gtfo before someone else appears on top of you. It cannot be probed out, it tanks reasonably well, and can engage just about anything (drone versatility ftw) can stay behind the lines and engage targets for a prolonged period of time (granted, depending on your fit you may need cap boosters).
I dunno, I personally like the ship... granted, ive only been using it for a few days.

Rapier will be better for you, for survivability. You won't be able to take on certain targets that you could in a Vagabond, but the covops cloak will allow you to sneak up on people, you can probe down people with a recon launcher and Double Web is sexy to be honest :)

I put my vote for the Curse. Any ship fast enough to get near it will be sucked dry. Sure you have webs with the Rapier, but it is not easy to keep in that range where you are outside of their scram range. Also, if you uncloak there is a delay to lock so you would never catch anything. The Rapier is more for gang support, not as much solo.
Another option is an AF or Inty. Hard to catch, fast locking, and you control most engagements.

im game for the vaga and the huggin... a vaga with duel LSE has a large enough buffer that it can take some beating aswell. Always run a DCU II, and always duel polycarb them.

Ahh the first 0.0 gate-camp experience. You get to see all sorts of new ways to screw up your ship that aren't even allowed inside empire, and all before you can even turn back towards the gate.
