It's not only that, as Josh said you can have an alt in a good frigate in less than 2 weeks. So now you have a worthless alt, flying a worthless ship, that in a group of four can take out a battleship with a pilot that has millions of sp.
On another note, I don't much care about the weapons in the real world. EVE is not based in the real world. But I would disagree with you anyway, should 4 people with handguns be able to take down an Apache? I've never seen it happen, have you?
- First of all, this is a multiplayer game, if 5-10 players (even noobs) are intelligent enough to gang up, and use their common power to kill large battleships, it should be rewarded instead of rewarding the one lone wolf with 10 free kills. - Additionally, while you can have an alt in a frig relatively quickly, you'll not be able to use that alt, unless you have the real experience in form of a multi-million sp character already. People just started an alt, because they do not have to risk clones worth of millions that way. this may be an exploit, but they can make the same kills in a frigate with their mains as well, and you would be complaining just as much as you do, when they do it with alts. Btw: have you tried to kill a battleship with frigs only? Tell me its easy, once you did it. Otherwise: you know what to do.

If you think people that do this are cheating then you need to play this game a bit longer before giving another opinion. Light missiles will do 100 damage each with good skills in the next patch. Multiply that by 2 (ave. number of launchers on a frigate I would say) and multiply that by 20 and you have 4000 damage every 10 seconds or so. The bship will be down in less than a minute, and this isn't counting turrets. Plus you only need 3 or 4 frigates to hold jammers and the bship is almost completely helpless. If it brings drones out 20 frigs can kill them easily, probably without even 1 loss if they're good pilots. Where's the cheating here?
This is plain ridiculous, 5 players playing together is worth 1000x more than a single pro-gamer who macro mined enough to be sittin in a BS. Arguing about how 20 frigs could surely kill a BS is stupid. How easy it is to buy a BS? How easy is to get 20 people online at the same time?
Its just funny: a BS comes across a frig, or even 3, the frigs have to run. A BS comes across 6 frigs, who have (at least they had) a SMALL chance to deal with the BS, the BS owner complains.
Do i somehow manage to have 20 frigs against your BS, you'll complain anyway, as 20 frigs still only cost 20 millions at most, against your 100m BS, so STFU with the stupid 'it costs x times more' argument.
MMOGs should value players playing cooperatively well above actual in-game resources. Meaning, that 5-10 players should pose a deadly threat to any lone player, no matter what that player is using. Otherwise we'll have what we have now: Stupid and arrogant BS pilots, who think they should be able to take on a whole newbie corp, just because their one ship costs more than everything the newbie corp has alltogether.
