Edited by: Aegon on 23/05/2004 01:46:20 Edited by: Aegon on 23/05/2004 01:39:23 I guess there are a few things that some 'anti-whiners' need to be aware about.
1) You can't 1v1 a battleship with an interceptor, unless it's a noob in the BS. Drones alone will eat you alive. Smartbombs anyone?
2) Find it hard to hit an interceptor? Don't worry, chances are he's having difficulty hitting you as well. If you can't kill them, it doesn't mean you can't run from them either.
3) It's only legitimate that new changes be discussed and whether or not our opinions are taken into consideration is up to them. We pay for the game, we love the game, we talk about the game. Simple as that really.
4) Bashing and labelling players that are speaking out against these changes serve no purpose. Why? Because EVE in its current state is far from being balanced and still buggy. Bottom line is, the Devs need to look into issues such as client stability, graphical bugs...etc, I could go into a whole list of them but I won't. Combat system needs to be TWEAKED, not overhauled (personal opinion).
Back to what I mainly want to say about the changes. Yes, I have problems with the new patch bla bla but my main problem is with the 'time sink' of EVE. It has become a waiting game for me recently. Skill training, although a very nice system in EVE online, has become rather tiresome as it becomes a long waiting game. I personally hope that new advanced learning skill packs come out with Shiva, if it doesn't...well you guessed it; a larger time-sink for all of us. We'd continue to pay and wait and wait. I don't know about you guys but travelling in a battleship, cruiser or industrial is slow as hell and the only way to make it bearable is to equip an MWD. The penalties are so harsh with the new patch that its not even worth considering using one really. Back to slow hauling with an indy for example. If the devs are going to make us use ABs more, boost the ABs a little, just a little...Also, I think its about time Castor was completed. THe promise of tech II stuff, well we all know its still a waiting game...
Bottom line is, fix the game before creating new problems to 'fix' (eg. skill resetting bug anyone?).Think I'm done ranting now. Flame away.
