Edited by: DubanFP on 12/07/2008 01:47:26 I know of at least 3-4 players i've made quit more or less directly. Probebly quite a few more indirectly. I think I got another one today. I killed his ferox with my Rupture and he knowingly went into battle with me without a warp disruptor. He kept ranting on about how I won only because of superior SP and claimed I was "arrogant" because I tried to tell him it was about knowing how to fit a ship, avoiding the battles you just can't win, and knowing how to get best results much more then Raw SP.
So this begs the question. How many people have you made quit EVE and how? _______________

I'm not quitting. I'm asking how many people YOU'VE made quit. Yes, I do wear it as a badge of honor. Anybody who quits because of a couple losses doesn't really belong here anyways. _______________

To be honest, that guy you killed sounds like the normal Eve player, so he will probably stay. Even most of the alliances come to the conclusion that when they lose it is because the enemy sucks at PvP.
Boohoo our enemies sucks and know nothing about PvP and have to blob/fighterbomb/use nanos/cloaks/titans to win against our superior skills. And lag! Don't forget about lag, the thing that kills the superior side in any conflict.

Come back and tell us when you make a veteran quit instead of a noob. -- There's a simple difference between kinky and perverted. Kinky is using a feather to get her in the mood. Perverted is using the whole chicken. |

Hmm. I killed a Ferox yesterday, flying my Thorax, and the pilot complained bitterly, blaming me for ruining EVE for him, etc. etc. Same guy?
The last time a pilot claimed he was quitting because of me, I convo'd him a few days later and reminded him of his promise. He replied that, rather than quit EVE, he was going to continue playing EVE with the purpose of coming back and pwning me. I haven't seen him in any of the systems I've been in since. You can imagine what the suspense is doing to me...

Edited by: Druadan on 12/07/2008 05:07:17 That's not what begging the question means. To beg the question is to attempt to prove a proposition using circular logic. 'This begets the question' would be appropriate, but using 'this begs the question' here is sure to get you sent to a very special level of hell, one reserved for rapists, murderers, and people who talk at the theatre.
On topic: the closest I've come to making someone quit the game was having them abandon their corp due to war and the destruction of their lovely highsec research POS. I still lack that crucial 'I'm quitting the game because of you' scalp.
