Quote: Yes, I did this today. Here's where to find the files on Windows XP:
Open My Computer. Go to Tools > Folder Options > View > Hidden files and folders > Show hidden files and folders. Click apply, and then click ok.
Next, browse to C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\settings
Once you're there, you'll two main types of files, char_x.dat and user_x.dat. The x's are numbers that represent your characters. I found the largest char_x.dat and user_x.dat and made copies of those files under the assumption that the largest character file probably holds the user interface information that I want. Then I created a backup of all the other character files. After that, I copied the name of the character files that I wanted to overwrite and renamed the copy I made of my largest char_x.dat file to that name. Then I repeated that process for each of my characters.
It's tedious, but it works. Let me know if you have any questions.
I wrote this up a couple months ago. I figured I could dig it up for you and repost.

The path to the settings files changed with Empyrean Age. It's now:
C:\Documents and Settings\(User Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\settings
