This post will probably turn out long, so if you don't like to read go away 
I roam 0.0 by myself, or with a really small gang everyday that I can. So, night after night I visited the same systems, primarily passing through HYDRA space in Vale of the Silent. I'd always get a BS ratting in a belt or maybe a BC while I was in my Zealot.
Every night I would go home to Osmon happy. However, there was one person I wanted dead. He was flying a Golem, and was always ratting in the same system, every time I passed through he was there. On one occasion I even warped to his belt in my Zealot (pure luck which I seem to have a lot of when I do my directional scanning). Sadly though I had a huge gang following me (mind you I had just killed a ratter in HYDRA's home system) so I pointed the guy and left.
Nights passed where I would see the Golem in the same system again, same pilot - so I knew he was there. Sometimes I'd miss my chance by a few seconds, seeing him disappear off scan, and other times I'd not even see him on scan at all.
This time was different though. I had scouted my gang through HYDRA space, we managed to kill an Abaddon, and I had just missed a Drake in a belt by half a second. We had passed HYDRA's main system, and I noticed the Golem pilot was online. I felt very confident that he'd be in his spot. So, we get to his system (me 1 jump a head of the gang) and he's there. So I do the usual and pick a belt cluster, and he's there. I missed the belt by one, narrow him down to 15 degrees and initiate warp. CTRL SPACE CTRL SPACE - he warped to my belt! The guy must of thought he could still rat, and must have not read his intel channel at all because I know we were reported all over it.
I point the guy, and yell to my guys to get their asses into system and warp to me. We get on this guy and he's got a nice tank. Our gang wasn't very high on DPS and we didn't have the best damage types to shoot at him either. It ended up being a 10 minute fight and we were so excited, he was finally about to pop. The best part was, his home system with a JB + 15 pilots was only 2 jumps away. This whole time no one jumps in to help, in fact someone else who was in local with a Raven left!
5% structure remaining, he's about to pop! POP. Woohoo we got him! We go in to loot, and nothing is there, we're like WTF? No kill mail in the corp tab either, and our buddies who were fly with us got nothing either. One of our pilots checks his logs - [ 2008.07.13 04:26:51 ] (notify) Golem belonging to xxxxxxxxxxx self-destructs. OMG...With all those combat messages going off we didn't see that self-destruct message go off.
We were so angry, but at the time so happy. Countless nights went by where this guy was able to rat in relative peace due to various reasons. Finally he got what was coming. Regardless to say, it was a good fight, and despite his care bear anger "you guys suck" it was fun. Have to say though, was quite funny how no one came to help this guy out. Nice alliance mates

Yep, almost lost my Rapier on this one, we would have overloaded weapons had we known he initiated self destruct .... oh well we still got the pod and the bounty.

Ok,
Well I had such a laugh after reading this, it is so much comedy. Oh and btw atomic hero's have to be some of the biggest losers in eve, that said, they roamed from maelstrom, to PA, to SOV, and all of those alliances fell apart... Enough said on that... 2nd I was semi afk ordering pizza and talking with friends, I find myself scrambled buy the chump in the beginning of the forum, so I tank it for like 10 minutes and my door bell rings and pizza is here. So the funny part is I decided to turn off the tank, eat my pizza and take a crap. So to stop the stalemate which it was clearly shown, 8 v 1 and I held my own, I self destructed and went for some pizza. So no kill mails, and no loot, hahahahhahahaha I guess I got the final laugh chump

Holy ****ing shit, grow a pair and man up to your **** up. You didn't get the final laugh. The eve universe is laughing at the **** of a carebear that self destructed his Golem because he can't even manage to rat properly. Which number golem was that one? Second? Third even? Better luck next, mate.

lol, why didn't you just get your buddies to come down from TVN which was only 2 jumps away to come and kill us? Or maybe they didn't care about the careless Golem pilot who eats pizza and takes craps and IGNORES Vale Intel when clearly our gang was headed your way, just like we do everyday.
