Getting the same problem.
Windows XP sp3 with linksys router Firmware Version : v4.20.7
All other games are fine, no disconnects and no lag, When I play eve it will randomly disconnect me in station or in space. The client seems to stop responding to anything to do. Doesn't feel like lag, no stuttering just modules stop responding.
When it finally kicks me out ~30sec later it dumps me at the logon screen where I can connect straight away.
The strange thing is it also disconnects me from Ventrilo while the eve client stops responding but allows me to reconnect as soon as im back in game / quit out of client.
I know this isn't my internet going down as I have had another computer doing various things on the internet without being interrupted at the same time. It almost feels like eve just kills my network connection for a short while.
The network card i am using is a "realtek rtl8029(as)", I know eve has issues with realtek sound cards. I might try putting another network card in to see if it helps. Anyone tried this before? |

Might be related might not. But shutting down xfire and mIRC stopped the disconnects for me today.
Will test it out when i get more time. |

Still an issue, just kicked me out twice and now the "cluster is full"

My issue is the same, seem to loose the internet connection totally... close eve and its fine and dandy.
I doubt that all of our routers that have been working fine, and still work fine with other applications have all suddenly broken. Also many of us are using different ISP's (virgin media here) so that is an unlikely issue.
The fact it only happens in eve leads me to believe it's a prob with eve only. And the fact it kills the whole net connection points more towards the client.
Closing other applications like mIRC and xfire seems to help a bit. And the disconnects for me happen when I am doing things like checking the market and sorting out hangers. I can almost guarantee a disconnect when shifting lots of stuff around the corp hanger.
I have run the trace route but that fact it seems to kill my connection just makes it look like "isp problems" This could still be the case if the isp is blocking the connection for high bandwidth or something but eve should be THAT bad (20mb unlimited cable connection)
I have to build up a few PC's for someone so might see if the issue happens on them, would narrow it down to connection & or network hardware / computer software and or hardware
