Having been on the receiving side of a Privateer wardec, I can say this, they bring the fight, no smack, no blobbing, no docking games, just pure PVP, the way it should be.

Oh i forgot - your entire alliance couldnt hold on to a tiny bit of "empire" when the local mission runners and miners rebeled (in conjunction with a few pirates) and chased you out.
So you wouldnt know.

Never said my achievements were great; on the other hand, I can be critical of whoever the heck I want. PRVTR may have once been an interesting phenomenon in EVE (no other corp in EVE's history could hide in stations from so many other corps at the same time) but were hardly a "major" alliance. Seeing them reduced to shooting at Eve-Uni frigateers and begging for pro bono merc work just to put stuff on their killboard, well it's kind of sad.

Well since I am on a bit of a vaction at this time I do like to check in and see how things are going.
Privateers does what we do. We adapt, we change and we move on. The nerf changed things, so we changed with it, FW has changed things again so we are changing with it. Unlike many other groups that break apart we just learn to roll with it.
Privateers will only go away when we decide to go away. We are like a reoccurring nightmare, always in the somewhere in the back of your mind.

Been playing about a month. Second war or is this the third? Corp got war dec'd by RAK. Probably because I stole Ender Wiggggggggggggins' drones and xxxxx smack talked him. Reason doesn't matter, just glad to get some combat experience. Lost a Rupture to 7 of them in Algogille. Lost mission rat gear. Insurance paid for it. Got podded. Still a free character so I'm out 0.00 isk. Figured to undock in rookie ship and make a run at them over and over again before going to bed. Will buy a new Rupture tomorrow and do some missions.
11/17/07:
Suiciding free newbie pods into RAK = HILARIOUS. I think the 5th one might have actually confused them. From observation was able to discover they use sensor linking and boosting to acquire targets in less than 1 second. Impressive. Still have Ender's tech II drones. God knows they're worth more than anything else I own.
Suicided a Bestower I bought for 300k and insured for 400k into them. Forgot to take off the warp stabs.  Got them from rats missioning, like I care.
11/28/07:
Killed Capt. Blak. Hilarious. He was baiting outside of Brutor station in Rens in his Merlin. Figured it was a trap, undocked in crappy Punisher and engaged to lock him into the fight. These boys love to station dock like no one's business. Xan undocked and smoked him. Stabber entered and took me as bait. Xan warped off. Took the death laughing my head off. Also, Stabber is one ugly looking ship. Missed the pod, but the kill was hilarious.

Capt. Blak is hanging outside of Brutor again. This time in a Caracal - guess he got sick of the Merlin. I think he fell asleep. Undocked my new toy and locked him for a bit. He sat there for a few moments then ran off. I really hope he woke up to that.

War's getting a little long in the tooth. Hopefully they are getting bored. Learned a lot from them: Dock timer, jump timer, safe spot, scanning, gate camping, ecm, dps vs. tanking, have a full memberlist plus a few suspected and confirmed alts, can flipping, aggress timers, list goes on. Definitely more fun then fighting Ari Suzuki the Raven pilot in the solo corporation and her industrial alt/main.

Sort of depressed at the lack of response by my corporation. Run and hide, run and hide, run and hide.
Is this what EVE PvP is? People hiding in stations and only coming out when their 9 friends show up. We had one docked in with his Battleship. Our biggest ship was a Battlecruiser in a fleet of cruisers and frigates. They started bringing a fleet in from north of Ours, but turned back 2 jumps out. Guess they smelled a trap that wasn't there. Kept him docked in until people got bored and started leaving. Wish we could drag him out of dock and beat his face to a pulp and send him packing. Not out of vengeance because I haven't lost anything, rather just unhappy that he's just sitting that station playing cards. Of course, he's not piloting an essentially free character if he's in a Battleship, is he? Guess you are a slave to your possessions.

Put RAK's lessons to good work. Got my first miner kill. He brought back a cruiser to fight my frigate. Killed that too. Then his friend came with a destroyer. Killed that too. Then 2 destroyers at once. Those are dead too. Either Rifters are cheat codes or these guys just never fight. Crap loot. Fun fights. French insults. Huh.

For those needing mercs it sounds like a good deal. We're more of a "handle our own problems for fun and enjoyment" sort of group otherwise we'd jump on this considering the price.
I'm under the assumption that you do not blow up high and low sec POSes as part of empire harrassment. If I am wrong on that and you do spend time doing that sort of stuff you may want to add it to your starting post. Seems to be a popular request recently.

I'm not a fan of the Privateers and infact I pretty much dislike them. Although for someone that needs a corp wardec'd this is a sure cheap solution, pay the war costs and Privateer's get to have their fun whilst your enemy gets some disruption in their day to day things.
Need to **** someone off and disrupt their business for cheap - Privateers
Need to WTFBBQPWN someone and have plenty of isk - REPO
Others will probably have a different view on this but I think it's pretty much accurate.

UNFORTUNATELY I wasn't the one who negotiated the contract you speak of SO I'm not aware of the terms set forth by BC Hastings. If I know him, It was the STANDARD 'No Frills' contract the alliance does. War dec the target, Encourage the alliance to hunt the target, OTHERWISE interdict the target when ever you run across it within EMPIRE space to disrupt his play in EMPIRE.
Alliance members are ENCOURAGED to post their kills to BattleClinic BUT are NOT REQUIRED. In fact, some corps have their own personal Killboards and stock them for their own personal use.
We've been around for OVER 2 years and I've been personally involved with the alliance about 90% of that time. We've had alot of turn over, a few nerfs AND FW almost did us in. In ALL that time ONE thing has been consistent, We can and WILL be a pain in the ass for ANYONE in EMPIRE who we're hired out against.
So if you're BASING our performance SOLELY on kills posted on the kill board ... its a shame ... because your money WENT way farther than just kills. We interrupted someone's NORMAL game play and consumed his time ... Which is more valuable than most ships.
ANYWAY, I apologize if we didn't give you your VALUE as you wanted to PERCEIVE it ... But we did what we are normally paid for ... being that EMPIRE pain in the ass.

LOL, you think I wasn't posting with my main? You are mistaken. This IS my main. And as you can see from Pitboss' earlier post about me selling GTC's, I obviously did have the isk.
See, the thing is I only wanted some explanation for what happened, I wasn't looking for a refund or looking to talk smack. Pitboss gave an explanation in this thread. I would have preferred it in game so as to keep any misunderstanding from happening in this much more public space, but I feel as though it has been resolved. Too bad he has an idiot for a corpmate.
So Pitboss, thank you for the explanation, I appreciate it. I would like to retract what I said earlier about not referring you or hiring your corp/alliance again.

I don't have a problem with Privateers, as I said, but you apparently feel the need to insult your former clients. I don't believe that reflects the professionalism of your corp.
Yes, you have managed to figure out my corp. You could have also asked, or even asked one BC Hastings, since I contracted with him. As for our stats, I'm not sure where you got them, and to be honest I don't know whether they are accurate. However, we were decced by Molotov, brought good fight, and lost some ships. That's why we hired Privateers.
Now please, leave it at that before you embarrass yourself any more or take this thread to some sort of lame flame war.

Still have room for the upcoming week. Wardecs will go active on Saturday night Eve Time. Starting cost right now is 200 million isk. Make sure the targets are large enough and don't wait too long. Every dec makes the cost grow.
For the others that still like to bash us? Go ahead we're used to it after all these years. If CCP couldn't kill us like they wanted to, what makes you think that your smack in a forum or in local will. We are still here and here to stay. The original Privateers are still plying their trade in the shipping lanes and there isn't a darn thing you can do about it.
For all the targets that think we can't bring it? They start by underestimating us, and lose ships. Then they smack talk and blob us and they lose ships. Then they hide and wait for the wars to end. And during that whole process we are still killing their haulers and miners and making gobs of isk.
So from one of the last Original Privateers that still keeps the idea of our creator alive. Keep the smack coming it drives the machine and keeps me warm at night, knowing that the Privateers is still an effective model. We knew it would be. It was Centuries ago and it still is today.
