For 3, I'd advice you to go to SniggWaffe to learn how to pew pew : )

Agony Unleashed and EVE University seem to focus more on the kind of PvP one engages in in 0.0--fleet warfare, bubble camps, etc. This is a minority of the type of PvP pirates typically engage in.
There is a significant difference. EU=All aspects of EvE+a side order of combat ops (can't comment on quality). AU=100% focus on pewpew. Plus:
By getting the basics down (i.e. T1 frig/dessie fighting fits, basic maneuvers, understanding of fleet comms, hearing how a quality FC goes about his/her business, and getting that all-important first KM amoung other things) a reasonably intelligent player can easily apply all of this to small/solo gang work.
Not to mention overcoming intitial fear of ship loss/screwing up. And how bigger is usually NOT better. And so on.
Complete the AU course (Basic/Wolfpacks) and the OP would be a significant step up the ladder over the "trial and error" types of suggestions posted in this thread and would be considered a more serious candidate by reputable pirate/outlaw corps who are willing to take on and train low-SP players.
And no-I am not affiliated with AU in any way, shape, or form outside of taking the 2 classes in 2006 shortly after starting to play EvE. I am not a huge fan of Rell's (possibly one of the most annoying voices in EvE) or the semi-Counterstrike mentality in the overall AU playstyle I observed.
But...and a big but..they know what they are doing and better-have the patience, willingness to deal with new players (mistakes, warts 'n all), and the ability to teach. And if I recall...they even teach the basics of scanner use-something sorely lacking in the majority of veteran players.
It's the OP's call...but that pocket change spent wisely early on pays big dividends later on.
But what do I know .
