Having an urgent need to get hold of the latest export so I can update item, attribute and map data from the last 2 major patches, I decided to bite the bullet and try and recreate an export from the cache files.
I think I have succeeded to an extent and have been using this export for the last couple of days on my own application. I thought someone else may find this useful so I'm making this available for anyone that would like it. Please be aware that this is not a complete export of the EA data, is not supported by CCP and there could well be some discrepancies when compared with the last export. Therefore if you use it, please test it fully with your application/tool/whatever.
Here's a list of the changed tables:

Unfortunately, not all the data is available in the cache files so I've had to take a guess at some of the data for the new systems/NPCCorps. Hopefully it won't be to far out! I've also not bothered to alter the character tables, corporation tables (other than crpNPCCorporations), ram tables and station tables (other than staStations)
Special thanks go to Nightblade (http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=724413&page=4#105) for his work in converting the bulk of the cache files for this backup.
I hope someone else finds this useful until the official export arrives

hey, great work!... :)
one (wishfull) question, though: could you also post csv-export files? i'm using sql server for my app and mysql exports don't really do well there... :( would be great!

I can post up a CSV, MSSQL MDF or Access version. In fact, if you check back here after 18:00 Eve Time today, I'll have them all uploaded for you to choose.

Thanks to an excellent spot by AcriQuo (cheers fella ), I've updated the exports to contain better precision for the coo-ordinates in the mapSolarSystems table.
