Tonight I was passing by through 0.0 on my Raven headed towards a Radar site I had just scanned down. Risky, I know. But hey, no guts no glory, right? :) Anyway, on the way I encounter Coracao Ardente (alliance Triumvirate). After evading them for a few seconds they catch up to me and pin me down. Ah well, "might as well go out on my terms" I think to myself and initiate self-destruct  . BOOM! goes my ship, I warp my pod off. But then a pilot by the name of "iios" makes a comment on local: "***** cream". What gives?  .
They pinned me down. I lost my Raven to a couple of nanos fair and square. I didn't whine. Even thought it was a good fight. But because I self-destructed we resort to name-calling? I hear it all the time but just can't understand. They win but still resort to insults. Am I one of the few that finds this behavior a bit tasteless?
The reason I ask this question is because it isn't the first time I'm insulted for not confronting a camp. And it isn't like I instigated or started it. Why the immature animosity?

Just to be clear I lose ships all the time, believe me, ALL THE TIME  Just look me up. I'm sure I have to be one of the biggest losers in Eve :P but I can't complain, as I also make decent isk scanning. My question isn't about the loss, but rather the uncalled smack and childish comments. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing with angry kids who need a hug from their parents or something :\.

True. But I think the only 2 people that can come close to insulting my manhood in such a way is my wife and my father, of which none have yet :). It's more curiosity as to what would make supposed "grown men" behave like this, if indeed they are adults. And I'm also beginning to see this behavior become more characteristic of Eve.

If you click on "quote" you can read censored words uncensored. They don't appear as "****", but rather as the actual words :).

Kind sir, you can confirm with iiOs whether what I say is true or not. First of all, the fight was at a planet, not the gate. Second of all I launched drones and shot for as long as I could before I was eventually jammed. If your problem is with me self-destructing, I truly am sorry. But I consider it a legitimate tactic and part of the game. And third, I said nothing in local (or to anyone at all) so if you accuse me of whining, save it. Please refrain from calling me a liar before researching your facts.

I'll reitirate that my issue isn't with PVP, but with the tantrums players throw nowadays even when they win  . They lost nothing. I was about to type "GF" (for good fight) after I thought my pod was safe. But when I was greeted with his tantrum I got curious as to what may cause such feelings as I don't understand.
