OK, another stupid(?) question.
Im looking for a simple price tracking program that will chart, or help me chart price fluctuations in the various market goods of Eve. This way I can hopefully buy certain items at a low price, and sell them at a higher price later at hte same station, or very close to this. Im also interested in dabbling in stock in eve if the game has this, but Im too n00bish to know yet.
So long and short of it, will EVEtycoon do any or all of this for me?
I'd love to make a few extra isk the easy way, but I have very little to invest since Im just starting out, and cannot afford to lose it. So, Im trying to do my research before I dive in..

Ummm no. But, it you look at the reprocessor's output, you'll see that it shows you exactly how many minerals you should get from reprocessing. It also shows high and low mineral pricing. If you need something more specific, I'd suggest a cheap $3.00 calculator. ET and it's predecessor EVEReprocessor were never intended to have absolute accuracy in that respect. They just get you in the ballpark. EVETycoon Marketing, trading and reprocessing tool. |

Great tool!
However, I cannot download my buy/sell orders through the API. I have entered my full key, however when I click the "dude-icon" and EveTycoon downloads from the API I get one of three results.
1. Wallet is exhausted. 2. Error. Wallet not previously loaded. 3. No errors, still no orders visible.
Any idea on what I'm doing wrong? Or is this some kind of bug? --- - Torpify - |

That's not a bug, you have another program that's accessing the wallet API. That error code is directly from the EVE API website telling you some other program has recently accessed it. EVETycoon Marketing, trading and reprocessing tool. |

hi mark. i has a question! im trying to get specific prices for minerals. so to accomplish this i thought i could export a log and then edit out all the other irrelevant orders and just keep the one i wanted(for example the highest buy order) well i did this and after i do tycoon does not accept the file. it gives an error. even if i just delete 1 entry it goes nuts. do you have any suggestions on how to edit the export logs? or do i perhaps actually have to manually set every price? actually, there is. however, i am having some problems getting this to work. perhaps mark will know whats wrong?
what i did is i edited my exported market logs. i made it so there were only two orders per log, 1 buy 1 sell. i made them both the same so that the "average seller" value would be the same as high buyer value(so i could simulate dumping minerals onto buy orders) however, when i did this the "average seller value" was half of the value i inputed into the market logs. even when i added another sell order of the same price, or of a 0.01 isk difference it would still average incorrectly. this is a problem because after that it reports all your values wrong, if you are editing the logs.
clues? Owing to lack of Eve-related content, signature removed. If you would like to discuss this, please mail [email protected] - Mitnal |

Not really. ET's purpose is to give you high, low and average prices of items and minerals and isn't really designed to allow you to 'speculate' on prices. About the only thing you can edit is the base content of items. You can do that by right clicking on an item in the reprocessor list.
Maybe if I had a better idea of what you guys were trying to achieve then I'd be able to come up with some solution. EVETycoon Marketing, trading and reprocessing tool. |

By the way folks, though I do periodically read this forum thread, the quickest way to get answers is via the in-game mailing list or the website forums. Those actually let me know when there's a new question and I can respond faster. Since these forums don't inform me when there's a new post on the thread, I have to remember to check it.
