I think they lost 33 dreads but whatever , gj regardless.
Odda(the erebus) was gatecamping with bit "unusuall" gatecamp fit smartbombing duders for like 2 weeks.
meanwhile a PL fisher gang was operating within 1 jump elsewhere(10 supers and 5-6 carriers, some with triage) Amamake spikes , gatecampers warp out, however Odda reports having his client freeze up and is thus tackled. At this time someone poke their heads into our fishing channel and lets us know odda is in danger on a gate,(+irc goes totaly apeshit with pings). We gets a cyno up on the gate with odda(which is either disconnected or in another fleet, Im not sure)
I see around 50 dreads +lots of hics and some support(neuts bses) , as I load grid, locks up Odda to find him in low shield, turns on the remote reps and goes blapping dreads thinking Odda is fine now that we got reps on him. PL is streaming in from poses(logging in, and local passes 200) However Odda still havent managed to swap from his special fit(im not sure if hes online at this time or not) and dies in a fire with triage carriers trying to save him after a min aprox.
few carriers that was ill fitted and few triage carriers dies from PL, while most carriers is saved and we quickly kill the remaning 33 dreads+support or whatever the count became and hold the field and loots most of the stuff.
props to the faction warfare people to have more balls than most 0.0 alliances out there.

http://sandciderandspaceships.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/pl-wtb-new-titan.html The actual battle report.
Long story short, 10 hics, some neuting bs and some 40 odd insured dreadnoughts belonging to Wolfsbrigade and Shadows of the Federation cyno'd in on a 'special' fit PL erberus smartbombing on a gate. Despite having a support fleet on hand the PL erberus died before the 170 odd reinforcements could kill the FW fleet. Amarr Militia scooped the titan's loot too. GF and props to PL , despite that fit, for getting over 170 on field in under 5 mins. |

TBH.. we should out just take a month off of bickering at each other and join forces then go harass the hell out of null sec. Sure we don't have SC armadas but FW guys as a whole, could damn sure toss enough Bombers, BC's, BS's ect..ect into any fight to totally muck things up for those involved.
Anyway GJ on killing the Titian.. |

Null sec is ****, why would we leave the best pvp playground for anything else.
As for the subject in hand, was fun.
I personally almost messed it up when I landed 2878KM from the Titan in my pilgrim which was a scary moment I tell ya. Other than that, Had a nice fight, was impressed with PL Logisics chain and got what we came for. As we in W-BR like to say Op Success.

Correction.. Fighting over Sov and the entities that do it are ****. Just because it's null sec, doesn't mean it's ****. Syndicate for example can be a lot of fun and it's fun with small gangs, because there is no Sov involved and the entire population isn't blued with one another for a 10 region radius.
Blues & Sov warfare are what make null sec suck ass.. Besides that I never said anything about leaving but rather team everyone up and go **** in other's cheerios for a change of pace. |

The whole story...
Back during PL's last deployment in Amamake, we grew increasingly tired of it. We started initiating a plan, which was based on a fleet setup PL themselves had theorycrafted (we got it via the old kugu forum dump).
PL moved out before we could initiate, but we kept the plan around, we really wanted a titan kill. Fast forward 4 months and PL were back in Amamake and ~10 days ago we started getting people ready for the suicide fleet. We wanted to make a statement, we knew it was a one-way trip, we knew that we cannot take on a fully alert and able PL, but that we can take on anyone who is predicable, sub-optimally fitted and lazy, even if that person has a PL ticker next to their name:)
The rest is covered in our BR and video. |

Looked a little ridiculous when the MomBlob released fighter bombers, no wonder Odda experienced "issues" if he was indeed multi-boxing .. |

I don't think anyone should be less than impressed about this. There's been a lot of whining from null-sec alliances over the past few years about PL, and scuttlebutt is when PL shows up, pretty much everyone has run. So the fact people that have been ignored and insulted by null sec came in and did what was thought of as impossible is something that should put faction warfare on the map.
I think after this, Mittens and the null sec group will have to stop ignoring faction warfare. Sure, it's broken, but fix it and it becomes so much better. And the fact that there are pilots in FW with bigger balls than 75% of null sec should be something to keep in mind next time pirates want to tango with them!
Keep up the good work, and it's good to see the majority of PL take this loss with some dignity. Props to PL for that! |

And Mutnin is right- if you pooled the talent from the top corps from all Factions together, you'd have a very formidable foe. Doubtful if it will ever occur given all the bad blood and hostility as is shown by the trolling in other threads..
We've tried pooling talent together, one of the main reasons it doesn't work is that eve outside of low-sec simply sucks. Quite a few of our better players are former long-time null-sec residents who would insta-quit if we ever set sail for a permanent null-sec residency. |

Good on the amarr for beating everyone else to trying something like this and bonus points for actually getting a titan kill out of it.
Deen also has it correct to a point - there are militia corps pirates will be wary of, mostly because theyve either proved they can PVP decently or because they have massive batphones and a willingness to use them freely (for example the alliance between certain amarr militia corps and Raiden before the russian civil war kicked off). Having said that though you have to balance that with situations like the one that happened last night where it took the gallente militia two hours to form up then they acted all butthurt when we decided we didnt feel like jumping into the gang that was a perfect counter to what we had, docked up and carriered our **** home.
anyway the TLDR is that there are good militia corps, theyre just balanced by an awful amount of shite as well |

Was never mentioning anything about permanent residency.. While I've never been involved in it but just looking from the out side Sov warfare in it's current incarnation outright sucks. Anything to do with timers, POS's tons of structure HP of stuff that is not piloted doesn't really interest me in the slightest.
What I was thinking was more along the lines of being the Monkey in the zoo and tossing poo around.
Just random joint roams from time to time to **** people off and see if we can stir up some trouble.. That or directly planned gangs to interfere with ongoing wars by tossing a monkey wrench in the mix of fights around known timers.
In other words just stuff to mix up the mundane same ole, same ole.. Maybe random joint roams out to Syndicate or other active NPC space could be fun but tossing 30 or 40 bombers into a big fight just to screw with balance of power from time to time could also be interesting. |

Quite a few of our better players are former long-time null-sec residents who would insta-quit if we ever set sail for a permanent null-sec residency. Very aptly put. FW are the ever-green pastures where old warhorses roam
Besides, smacking each other on forums doesn't mean we can't copy the WWI armistice for a few hours and bonk some heads in game (as has happened more than once) .. permanent cooperation is probably a bit much to ask for as it kind of kills the purpose of FW and thus the fun |
