I've been trying to decide on a PvP ship for my Amarrian alt that's got the general effect on my enemies of "Oh crap, oh crap, what do I do?" but haven't been able to come across one yet. I'm currently flying a Zealot, and the next logical step is an Absolution, but after that? T1 battleships? Meh. Everyone flies those. Navy Apoc? Played around with it in EFT and couldn't find any real good reason to spend an extra 300M over it than an Abaddon. T2 battleships? Sure, if people can give me a convincing case to use one. I toyed with the idea of starting to train towards a Paladin, and they do look pretty good...ideas?

I'd say Curse, When I see a Geddon I don't say 'Oh shit', When I see a Baddon I think 'This could be close' but when I see a Curse, Unless I have a sure fire way to Overcome it, I avoid it ---

curse, fly the sentinel first so that you can get a general feel as to how that kind of ship flies (trust me the mistakes you make will be much much much cheaper)

Amarr ships seem to be pretty well off these days. Really depends what you want to do...
Apoc - is pretty awesome for fleet with it's new bonuses Geddon - great for the close range stuff, fit pulse, boosters, like 3 heat sinks and a HP buffer tank 4 fun Sig removed. Lacks EVE related content. For more information feel free to contact [email protected]. ~Saint |

PvP amarr? Abso is mediciore at best - you cann just evade it. Zealot is insanely good (one of best HACs now in game for roaming gangs) Harbinger is decent (mind you i dont fly t1 ships except BS) Geddon is powerhorse - good for everything Apoc is "teh snypa" - one of best fleet ships in game Abaddon? ugh. dont like it
Redeemer is total joke, evade it Paladin is uber at missions, for PvP use geddon.
There is also a Nightmare but its mostly PvE ship (tho they work in PvP). Navypoc is just crap. No point in using it over normal poc (unless you want it for missions and are a noob without t2 guns - then range bonus might help a bit).
So pretty much: zealot/sacri, curse (tho zealot/sac are much better in roaming gangs), geddon, apoc.

The zealot can pack speed, boom, and range all at the same time so it's certainly strong if you can get around its light tank when nano fit.
The harbinger and especially the abaddon both have that big presense among their respective classes. When you see one you know it means business. You know it has tank and you know it has gank, better hope you have a neut.
For the "oh crap, what do I do?" though, it's gotta be a neut boat to me. The curse is top of the line there and certainly feared among cruisers but the sentinel is no less the tyrant among frigs. People say the ishkur is one of the better AFs but the sentinel is like a fast ishkur with nasty neuts and the room and bonus to use a tracking disruptor on the side... yes plz.

use an abaddon with a buffer tank, 2/2/1 drones for extra damage, stick a buffer tank and 3x heatsinks or a buffer tank with a single rep and 2 heatsinks.

Curse is the scariest solo ship amarr has atm. Unless you are in a passive tanked drake, you never EVER want to fight 1.
On sisi you can get some good fights with vaga vs curse (i seem to win about half the time) but on tq you can't be quite as loose with yoru hacs ;)

Sac > Curse/Vaga
The curse has more survivability, it can neut its enemy if its in trouble and stop him from warp disrupting for a short period of time.
Not to mention it stops speed tanks in their tracks.

Gunnery Tree - Zelot (can be nanoed), Harbinger, Absolution, Geddon (also needs T2 heavy Drones), Apoc (fantastic fleet sniper), Abaddon.
Missles - Sacralidge (can be nanoed)
Drones - Curse (can be nanoed - great anti-nano)
Amarr should train all of these ships, they are all rated highly by the community and in some cases (like the Curse) are still considered powerful after a nurf. Amarr is a good choise these days for pvp becuase they have a wide range of excellent ships and have great battleships and capitals. ----

The one ship that scares the crap out of people and makes eveyrone run away is the Curse. Buy some LGS's nano it up, max your cao, and nav skills. Then you will see what this ship really can do. next in line is probably the Geddon.

for how awesome you are i would think you would know that T2 mods take damage faster than those in a lower meta level. aka that T2 neut you have there is stupid and expensive. put a large t1 smartbomb offline or something, it will absorb much more heat.

No webb makes baby jeesus cry when using t2 ammo. And flatliner and company hardly qualify as good pvp-ers.
Nice fight though. :)

Right click on the green check mark near each weapon mod. Or, deactivate drones, see your dps, add multiply by 1.15. :)

lol im sure you are a swell guy also i have to lol at someone using the term "swell", its one of those great and rarely used words haha
check out Garmon's rupture/cynabal vids. he uses autocannons with a T1 large EMP smartbomb offline in the middle of his rack, it lets him overload his guns for a LONG time. i think they can last over 45 seconds. and thats also talking about dual 180mm or 220mm autocannons wich fire a hell of a lot faster than DHP do, so they take damage faster.
ive tested it myself with heavy pulse lasers, it works... frighteningly well... i overloaded my rack for nearly a minute straight in a duel. overload heatsinks ftw.
ive added the pilgrim to the somewhat short list of amarr wtfpwnmobiles. the fact that you can tiptoe up to someone without them knowing and then slap 2 points, a web, and a boatload of cap sucking power on them before they even know youre there makes it awesome. then after that there are several viable tank fittings, both passive plate HP tank and active single and dual rep fits. imho, pilgrim is pretty damn skippy.
PS this is spork, im just too lazt to log out and actually post from my account
edit: broke the quote, fixed that now.
edit2: im actually in garmonation 3, i fit a focused medium pulse, dual rep zealot for a 1v1 with him in a cynabal... i had no idea what i was getting myself into with that thing. i lasted about 20 seconds from lock to pop. a simply amazing faction cruiser, with a maxed out pilot, plus overloaded guns... it was not pretty... i no longer scoff at ruptures and cynabals now though.
