and the new api system is in SVN which u can easily get by simply clicking the link in top post

The SVN copy will add Support for the new API system but you should note this:
* API USED under Settings page is now NEW Only, (needs a corp api with contacts)
* OLD Apis will still work (those already stored in database)
* OLD api's are no longer Accepted (people trying to add old api to account under profile / registration)

i did it this way to force people to go create new API using new system which i though would be best as old wont be supported for long

Trying to get TS3 intergration working at the moment.

All seems well until I finally try and add a user through their account page, then I just get [ERROR] invalid clientID.

That error right there means that the user you are trying to register cannot be found online on your teamspeak server, make sure you are logged on to the server with your exact ingame name and Alliance / corp ticker (if you have it setup to need that) before hitting the update profil button on our forums.

I'm using UniqueID rather than name registration, so having the exact name shouldn't be a problem (even though it was the exact name anyway)

PS: Running x64 windows TS3.

Did you figure out what was causing that ERROR? I'm trying out the package and get the same problem. I have the same setup too. Using mysql, authorizing using unique ID, I do use the exact name but still get that error.

i have just fixed the issues with Cron not going throught the list of users

a note for Crons
there is a fix in the cron file it self so make sure you are using the new 1

I'm using 1.3.0 r168 and when I click get characters, nothing happens.

When using 1.2.1 it works fine using the old legacy API keys.

It seems you need to edit permissions for TEA_xmlhttp.php to 644. Its located in the TEA folder.

I tried that and now it works.

Yea, I changed that and had to replace the template files for the profile and registration pages. Now... all is working fine!

I just changed the permissions to 644... I didnt do anything else and it worked. I'm not sure what Andy had to do.

I think you can setup a Cron job to do it by using the TEA_Cron.php file under the TEA folder.

NOTE: In order to get the Cron job to work I had to change the permissions on the cron file to 0644 also.

Never modified any php before, how would i go about this?

Do I need to set up a jabber server on my site, or can I use the mod with somewhere like jabber.org?

we just updated to the new version and mostly seems to be working ok

it is not creating entries in the jabber database when you go through the mod in the forum for individuals to register

Issue 1: forum profile > personalised picture > I want to use my Eve avatar. The image displays correctly, but when I save my settings it goes back to "no avatar" and doesn't disply one.

Issue 2: I can't see any Jabber options at all in the admin menu, although users can see a tab (with no options) on their profile.

Hi, I have installed this onto my new smf 2 forum now and it is wonderful - thanks for a great job! however, I would like to use more of its functionality but I do note a lack of instructions so this is obviously for experienced people to play with. I also see that there seems to be no replies on here to help less experienced people get started up. Therefore, If anyone is able to maybe write up a simple user guide, I'm sure there would be lots of Isk donations as a thank you - I certainly would be one of them.

1. Install Temars mod as normal.
2. After install, go the root folder or your webserver.
3. Navigate to the "TEA" folder.
4. Change file permission on "TEA_xmlhttp.php".

I installed TEA and it all looked to be going fine. Put in the API checked the rules and looked good. But when I went to the profile page to try and update to a new API I get the following error:

With the options Incorrect Name Warning and Incorrect Name Kick after x Mins enabled, is it possible to change the notification sender? Since I am main server admin of the TS server, the Incorrrect Name Warning messages appear with me as sender so the logged on clients always think it is me sending this message. : ) Is it possible to modify this somehow to make it clear that this is a server generated message?

What exactly do you want it to do ? ... If they don't match any rules delete ALL the additional groups even if they aren't controlled by TEA ?

Thank you very much for the offer! But the problem is solved. I don't know why, but the day after I reported my problem, the menu entries in admin center suddenly appeared. I don't know how, but now it works.

I;ve set up Openfire and the User plugin. Ive added a user from a FF window with the string required which works but TEA doesn't add a user when you add a password in your profile.

The database is setup correctly, as well as the Access User Service password so I'm now stuck.

Any help appreciated.

I need a bit of help guys. I have used this mod before but for some reason this time it isnt working.

I have the mod installed (dev version TEA, SMF 2.0.2). everything in settings and rules is setup correctly also, but my issue here is when peopl go to register that the the following:




I have tested it with my api key and still get the same error... i checked the api site and everything is correct.

So what am i missing?

I ran into this error a bit ago and here is how I fixed it...

1. First I uninstalled the TEA mod to make sure it was not active or modifying any part of the forum. (It edits some files when it is active and is supposed to undo its edits when you uninstall).
2. Then i replaced the Register.template.php file as well as the template file for the profile (I was getting errors in the profile as well when people would try to update their API key) with the default files you get from a fresh SMF Forum install.
3. Once those were replaced back to the originals, I re-installed the latest version of the TEA mod and activated it.

Those were the steps I used to fix the issue for my issue. Hope that helps...

what file did you install the "TEA-trunk" or the "TEA 1.2.1"

I recently started getting an unusual error, when I try to add a rule on the section when I click the add rule button I get a page 500 error. I know this is looking like a server side problem and I have checked the permissions on the files I know tea uses, I just wondered if anyone knows what page is called when you click that button so I could check out the permissions.

Your webservers error log will tell u the cause of the error 500... so your best bet would be to go look that up.

Im getting the exact same error 500 msg when saving API keys from admin or user. Also the "get character" does not work anymore while registering. This is in a completly new installation.

My lovely server error log says the same msg as the person above.


I fixed all the http into https, anyone with abit more knowledge about this mod can say what this is?

is not from the script but from the server, in my situation it was because cURL extension + package was not installed. After this all worked again.
