True, but easier said than done. To even have a chance you'd need to have the log server running to record the information. And in order to log a bug that occurs on the client side once every 10,000 market transaction, you'd have to keep it running for a hundred days or more. Which means that every day you'd have to delete all of the logs the logserver is creating. Are you willing to do that?
Alternatively, they could have 100 clients set up internally to constantly make market transactions on the test server if the bug occurs there as well. But how well do those have to approximate human behavior in order to reproduce the bug?
Quote: Also it does not matter how the query system is set up..any additional information that is needed to be asked for from the home server is time spent accessing a database which then uses that percentage of time to find an answer. HAVE it up front and you do one query and its thier and only needs to be refreshed when the sell or buy is complete.
I don't think you're a database admin - there are many, many instance where two queries performed in sequence and then combined outside of SQL are faster than a single query.
Quote: As far as the stupid WOW comments you can choke on your own pacifier and diaper if you like since I believe you bought out the warehouse on them last week. ALSO quit trolling my posts.. If you dont have something to add to actually assit in solving the problem or another way of dealing with it DONT POST again...I will report you as a troll and not adding a dam thing to the post
My posts are within all forum rules. Go right ahead. Also, you really shouldn't tell people not to post, as it usually just encourages them to post more. ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.83 (Updated 7/3) |

I've seen this sort of stuff with my sell orders..
IE:
A single Corp sell order of 100 widgets @ 10,000 ISK ea. placed by me
Despite where I look, personal wallet transactions, corp journal or associated corp division transaction log, I have witnessed sales which are higher than my sell order price. Never has it been a HUGE jump like to millions, but has been more around 150% higher than the sell order. EG: the 10k ISK item being sold for 23-25k ISK.
I sent an assortement of screen captures showing a very good example of it to the bug people that showed within single journal & trans. pages of the wallet sales to some individuals with the proper price and some with an inflated price.
The response was pretty much dumbfounding to me.. I was told very clearly that this anomoly was NOT a bug but a correctly operating, intended feature.. with no clarification of what they meant.
I can't come up with ANY reason an item I put up for sale on the market should or would be sold for a different price than what I specified...
So far I have not bothered to respond back since the reply I got from the bug people just seems daft to me.

if there is another sell order for 10000 widgets and I need 5000 I might just buy the 5000 off of the 10000 stack for 15k isk. result I buy 100 of your widgets for 15k, and 4900 of the other guys widgets for 15k isk.
basic market shit....

I suppose that might have been it. Oddly though all the transactions IIRC were for 1x of the item I was selling and really appeared to be 1-up sales..

In my opinion, people that post sell orders for an outrageous amount are artificially boosting the market value in order to increase profit on inventory else where, and should not be allowed. When posting a sell order it already tells you what percentage over or below the market average you are selling for, so an easy fix would be, don't allow posting of sell orders over a certain percentage. This would help stop occurrences of this nature from happening and hopefully stop threads and petitions like this from being created.
