As I recall, Chribba is 67 or something like that.. So there's a good chance he might actually have some of those buggers 
Also, I can imagine putting a video of "Carebears" on for his grandkids and then showing the tattoo would be a great way to be sure that EVE addiction goes further down the family tree

Other people have some really dumb tattoos that have no real meaning (tribal crap, latin, chinese characters, names of girlfriends, blablabla), so having veldspar on your arm isn't going to be too out of the ordinary!
