The best "eve" tattoo you can get sofar must still be the guristas logo. It looks, like a skull with bunny ears I guess. Kind of mean and kind of cute, I would'nt have anything against someone with a tattoo like that and it still looks pretty ok even to people that does'nt even know what eve-online is.

Being afraid of revealing that his passion was burning for a great community which he massively helped to shape? That he invested a lot of his energy into a group of friends with their main focus on a computer game?
Actually he is DOING something and not like most of the other people just consuming stuff. So it is something he can be proud of.
And who is there to judge what is worth something and what not? Either those people are enlightened (which I doubt, that happen only once in a centry at best to the world) or they are hypocrites.
I congratulate Chribba that he found a way to live his passion in a productive and harmless way.

While "Because it's Chribba" is damned well good enough reason to cheer (/cheer Chribba!), there's been threads of other folks getting Eve tattoos in the past which got more or less the same responses.

I'm shocked that you would ruin your skin in such a way tbh. I can understand eve graphics that can be passed off as something else but having a tat like that is just beyond belief.
You are who you are and I respect you for what you do for this game, your dedication and reputation are second to none but this imo is a step too far. As an older member of the community I know quite a few people who regret having tat's in general let alone one like this.
And to all the Chribba lovers, I'm entitled to my opinon as much as anyone else, Chribba is obviously adult enough to get a tat so I would hope he is adult enough to take some feedback even if it is negetive.

If you're arguing against tattooes in general (which you also seem to be doing) there's not much to debate. Our culture simply is what it is.
But you also seem to take issue with the tattoo's theme. How is a make-believe asteroid in a make-believe world any more trivial (or any less sensible) than other people's make-believe whimsies (e.g. fairies, unicorns, crucifixes, vampires and cartoon characters) that make up so many of the tattooes we see?

I dont get why some say its stupid. Im not a tattoo kinda guy, but I think these are just as warrented as any: Chinese sign, cool symbol(see gurista logo) or some form of text.
Personally I love the Gurista logo.

Some of my stuff is from growing up where I did (read: in a gang, just wanted to look bad a** ) But all of my later stuff has meaning to me and kind of tells my life story (portrait of my daughter being my favorite )

It's definitely good that you still like the tattoo... but what really drove me to resurrect this thread was the dev responses in it.
Posting lighthearted replies to this thread (including one about how they were going to screw you in a future patch! ) and then ignoring the other one completely is distressing.
I came to EVE from Wow specifically because the devs weren't afraid to mix it up in forums and explain their decisions, especially the controversial ones. Pushing through "fixes" like this without explanation is a sad sight to see.
