Same issue here, main account stopped responding and disco'd around 2pm and now getting handshake failure.
Other 2 accounts are fine.

No I was already logged in, was dico'd just after 14:00, at the precise moment I was logging in a 2nd client.

Its was my first gaming session, but logged on roughly a hour befor getting kicked.
*edit*
Alt showing online in the P&P watch list, how ever when trying to contact the character (i like chatting up myself  ) you get "De Boeman is either offline or otherwise unreachable."

Exactly. Account that was logged in around 14:00 got disconnected and cannot log back in. I can log in fine with another account that wasn't online at that time. |

It is now 14:40, and both can still NOT log in with 'Handshake Failed - Server Failure' |

I was also thrown around 15.30 and since then I can not log in character all the time I have this error HANDSHAKE FAILED - FAILURE SERVEWR not help reset the connection or restart computer |
