Gently i was hauling some PI income from point A to B, while tanking away in another game, finding my eve client has rebooted.
No mssg given of a disconnect, or anny reason or clue on what happend, loggin back in gets me the mssg "Handshake Failed - Server Failure". So i tryed my main, witch still seems to be able to login i just wont atm, dont want to be totaly locked out. But what the .... is going on ? |

Confirming it does not have to do with location, most of our roam that got disconnected are from The Netherlands, but not all...
Also nothing to do with system ingame, some are still ingame, some are not, all in the same system.
Also character ages are too different.
Seems to be random connection/server issues at the CCP side. |

I live in germany, so no its not localized. It also doesnt seem to be directly a connection problem since i can login from a different PC (using the same router with a dedicated line to our data center). I don't really know what could be the problem since i'm logging in fine using the same connection from a different pc. Maybe the clients use different routes and those i cant login with are still trying to use the old and broken one? |

Having this same issue with 1 account which was logged in in Jita at the time. My other 4 accounts which we'ren't logged in at the time aren't having this problem and can log in just fine.
Seems like a database problem, not ISP or connection related. I somehow doubt the proxy node is the main reason, but I guess we'll find out shortly. |

Was multiboxing 3 accounts, all 3 got booted out. All 3 have the handshake failure. All 3 are still online in the "People & Places" tab in Eve.
Now using the 4th account to look around, im not seeing any of the ships in space though they are still "Logged in".

my first login attempt was shortly after 1400 i guess. on this first attempt i made it to the character selection screen which then froze. i had to close the client and from the on got the message "Handshake Failed". |

I got kicked out with the two accounts I was logged in and playing. 3rd one which wasn't logged in can now login normally. Two others get the error message.

1st account was logged in before 14:00 and stopped updating what was happening in the gameworld shortly before 14:00 (only noticed as I was logging my 2nd account in at about that time and my 1st account couldn't see the 2nd one that was warping to the same POS it was in) 1st account got kicked and now can't login again but 2nd account is fine (think I logged the 2nd one in like 14:02).

I was logged in .. and doing PL stuff.. when i tried to move things around everything stopped responding.. I got kicked and since then get the handshake error..
One time i got in game.. but then when i clicked on my char.. the load failed.. and it just sat there.. i tried again .. and load failed again.. hope that helps. |

Got disconnected.
Managed to reconnect immediately afterwards ( <1min ), but did not get further than the character selection screen. It just said simply "Failed" when I tried to click "enter game".
Any further attempts resulted in the failed handshake. |

Stillman Got disconnected. Managed to reconnect immediately afterwards ( <1min ), but did not get further than the character selection screen. It just said simply "Failed" when I tried to click "enter game". Any further attempts resulted in the failed handshake.

Disconnecter around 14:00 but had some DC yesterday and some window sayin' something about blah-blah-blah server error blah couldn't connect blah-blah (was in a middle of gang so didn't remembered exact message. But it was not in eveUI window, just simply Window's form with 1 button.
But siriously: i've just killed someone's tengu on a mission and didn't looted it :-(

Both of my accounts were logged in at time of crash and can not log on right now. I was logged in on both accounts before and after downtime. Both were in station in Sasta.

same problem here.
In the middle of a L4 mission, Eve crashes, and ever since I've been getting the "Handshake Failed - Server Failure" error when trying to connect.
I've tried different PCs and different clients... same error.
Strangely, I *can* connect with my other accounts - I have 4 and they all work. Only the account with this toon gives the error.
Did the server crash lock my connection in some way?
Ahhh... reboot soon. Wonder if I'll be submitting a reimbusrsement request for my faction-fit Golem soon afterwards. :) |

It is not my first logging today. The Client just went down. Some of my corpmembers were stuck at the gates in Jita and could not jump with the others. Some of them could relaunch the client. I still have the problem "Handshake Failed - Server Failure".

Same problem here, i started to have crashes since the new launcher was installed, after downtime this morning it crashed and i hasn't been able to log in at all to my accounts. Dissapointing since i don't have a lot of time to spare to play. |

I was playing with a lvl 3 mission at the same time i was recieving a character i just bought. Did the interferince screw up my eve online and make this dreaded, HANDSHAKE FAILED-SERVER Failure happen?

My 2 other accounts can log in on the same client.
Around 1400. Because I'd just taken the chicken out the oven to rest and then put the Yorkshire Pudding and Roast Potatoes in... |
