if you want to go for a heavy bc you need to look into world history, there was such a thing in WW2 it had the same size guns as the bs's did (Excepoting some of the biggest ones) just less of them so a heavy bc with 4 large turret/launchers (like a maurader but no damage bonus)would be interesting and if a different skin could be used the second version could be turned into a exploration/plexing ship very easily

Ever since I have flown the Drake I have always wanted to see a T2 version of it. So here is an idea for an Electronics Support Ship. This ship would mainly be specialized in supporting fellow members counter against ECM.
General Idea would be:
Battle Cruiser Skills Bonus (Depends on Ship)- 5% shield resistance and 5% bonus kinetic damage of heavy missiles and heavy assault missiles.
Electronic Support Skill Bonus- 3% Increase to ECM Burst strength (defensive against being tackled, but will probably work without an increase to strength) and 10% Increase to Projected ECCM optimal range.
Role Bonus - Provides an additional 3% Bonus to Information Warfare Link Modules. 99% reduction of Warfare Link modules CPU requirement. Or Role Bonus - 99% reduction of Warfare Link modules CPU requirement. Can use 3 Warfare Link Modules simultaneously.
Of course the T2 resists and all that jazz that makes it a T2 version.
Just a thought.

Would this step on the CovOps toes too much? No. They will always make a better, more efficient probing platform, plus they will be able to warp cloaked. Science vessels such as described above will have very good utility, and with their very high sensor strengths and fast lock times will be valuable for PVP over and above their T1 counterparts without increasing the 'solo pwnmobile' factor of higher damage output and increased tanks.

+20% sensor strength, +5% probe strength per level of Exploration Vessel (new skill, needs racial cruiser 5, science 5, battlecruiser 5, astrometrics 5).
So there you have it- a new ship class, it's not overpowered in terms of DPS or tank, it's resistant to ECM (sensor strength) and damps (increased base lock range and faster lock speed) and has a niche role in probing exploration sites and being able to take on some of the lower level sites solo, but would still require dedicated combat ships to complete the higher level exploration sites.
CCP should pay me for this stuff.
A complex runner would be pretty cool, something T2 BC style would fit the role of a ship that could find a complex itself then turn up and do it. Obviously it wont be able to complete the high ranking complexes on its own easily, and I dont think it should be a cloaking ship but I like the general idea.
Mini Marauders.
7 high slots. 4 turrets/missile slots and 3 utility slots. mids and lows to suit.
100% damage to weapon class. 200% tractor beam range and speed.
taking into the possible new stasis webs..
10% per lvl of t2 class name to weber effect (range and speed.) 7.5% per lvl of t2 class name to weapon class range/speed ( missiles )
skills would have to be obviously up there ...
cruiser V, BC V, Frig V, AWU V not sure after that.

What about a ship that gives bonuses purely to smartbombs?
Give it 6 high slots to fit like large smartbombs or somethin... ----
