I just installed the latest ATI drivers. It automatically installed a free WoW trial What is wrong with these people!? They could at least have made it something worthwhile like EVE...

WoW serves its purpose as a good time waster. If I was in a foul mood and wanted to play a game where I won't get frustrated, I load up WoW.
It's not all bad, it's just good at mediocrity!

I am quite positive that it wasn't automatic. User most likely absent mindedly checked every boxed and hit go.

I got the Witcher with my 8800.
But I already have the orange box, so it doesn't really matter.

This is only a link to a download Site for a WoW Trial...
and Portal is also only a Trial version that comes with the NVdrivers...
ATI just startet a campaign to recieve more support in games etc. and Blizzard is one of the partners... Starcraft 2 and Diablo3 got ATI support etc. and mayby DX10.1

Parasitic installations semi forced on you when installing something legitimate like drivers are a disgrace.
Normally it's something small but something I don't want like a Yahoo Toolbar they try to ram down my throat, but a whole game seems ridiculous.
I hope Nvidia make capital out of this and manage to ram it down ATI's throats.

seriously ATI drivers SUCK. Long time ago when I bought a Radeon 9600, the drivers from the CD wouldn't find the video card. I thought it was a faulty card and exchanged it for another one in the store. Turned out the drivers from the CD that was sold with the card in the same box,FFS, were crap.
Since then I always use the modded Omegas, they work for all mobility cards too.
