So BOB P-2 poses are dead, but in return you lose the main access point into 0.0, in the North.... ALso looks like your capital hop drop worked well too. NC killed 2 vs BOB killing 15 Good job NC keep pounding chest on COAD and trying to keep morale up!

NC currently only win battles if its Supercaps/caps + Fleet vs non-caps. In other words, only if gbc ties its hands behind its back by not using caps/supercaps and NC brings out caps/supercaps then NC has a chance to win a battle. I guess this is the reason why that NC attacked bob pos's since they were under cynojammer, so p2 as a bait worked quite well since it was obvious that it was a diversion (which is why gbc never left their caps in that cynojammed system. Only logical conclusion is diversion). So the first time both sides fight with caps in a NC friendly system, NC get their asses handed to them. Assuming every dread was insured, thats approx 500mil cost of insurance + 350mil cheapist capital fit = approx 850 mil net loss per dread after insurance. If the caps were uninsured, then thats a even bigger horrific loss. So the only time NC attacks GBC and has a chance of winning is when its cynojammed and gbc has both hands tied behind their back (i.e no gbc caps). The only question then is, if NC will fight to stop GBC Claiming the most important logistical system in the North, EC-P. Iron, for example, cannot run back to drone regions due to the drone region drama so its do or die for them in the north. Will NC turn up to defend EC-P? In a way, whoever wins EC-P will end up winning the war.

Posted - 2008.07.25 16:25:00 - [18] I wouldnt go so far as to say its the most important logistical system in the north, I think your letting a few of us former residents opinions go too far. It is important, but its not THAT important. BoB gaining EC- will: Give them a good foothold into the northwest. Allow for easy logistics for conventional fleets to reinforce the cap blob they brought. Slow down resupply of conventional ships to deklein. Other than that, they can still capital hop stuff in, can still build new caps and ships up there (you know IRON probably builds all kinds of shit for market after being in drone regions) but for the joe schmoe that wants to bring in a ship whenever he wants, it will slow that down a bit. Well ok let's rephrase this a wee bit...'I, as in me (the good lookin chap on the left here) haven't been there for 2.5 yrs, we as in OV and or/razor don't use ec- as an entry point. I don't have the nads to talk on behalf of the NC and wouldn't wish too, we have plenty of others to do that. But i'm sure if our allies have any issues getting supplies in we'll help out where we can. As for ec-, ok i lied you caught me out... i don't miss it, it was a p00hole in the old days and still is i mean look at the flies infesting it right now.
