How so? With the stacking nerf, a gallente recon would likely fit 2 polycarbs and 1 or 2 overdrives, leaving it 2-3 slots for either inertia stabs or a buffer tank to give them extra GTFO time.

Two tracking disruptors will remove the Thorax's ability to hit you, and medium ECM drones (which the curse or pilgrim has ample room for) will hamper a missile ship's ability to harm you. Stay in close and scoop the drones once he's jammed, then deploy combat drones while using nos or neuts on him. Not a foolproof strategy but hardly uncounterable.

Those that can adapt will find the new hot setup and continue to win, the rest will come back to the forum and whinne and CCP will bring out the nerfbat again. If you suck you will be killed, if not by nos or speed then something else, end of story.

oh yeha i forgot to mention this, for a curse you can jam them once while youre up close, scoop drones and have enough time to do maybe a few hundred or a thousand damage before the jam wears off and you would have to scoop again, etc
for solo killing its not really practical imo, especially against an autocannon target, they can just keep filling my shiny expensive dual polycarbed ship with lead. if you arent close then scooping ecm drones and swapping to damage, etc is near impossible so you would have to rely on TD and speed.
