Not sure why everyone says that nano- will be dead with propsed changes. It will just be limited to to the ships designed for speed ie. Matari and Interceptors, and not any ship with a lowslot as it is now.
We've had people ask for help nano fitting Caracals for goodness sake.
Falcon Swarms, RR and Multi-Logis are already widely used just not at nerf-bat levels yet.
With speeds going down across the board I think ECM will be new tank for roaming gangs. Kitsune prices will skyrocket.

ahem, I think you're confusing the terms skilled with "has enough money to throw at a ship until it's superior to the enemy ship".
only 2% of the people i actually saw who flew nanos was more "zkill3d" than any other dumbass in this game.

In all seriousness I don't think we'll see MORE missile boats - it's just you'll once again have to take notice of those Caldari cruisers/BC's/HACs. As of now the only credible threat to the nano ship in that line is an AML fitted Cerb/Caracal with explosion velocity rigs. After the changes the HML may once again do damage to other cruisers. Maybe.

I guess the whine will be about ships using the ECM drones as a "get out of jail freecard".

simple way of beating launch drones before they jam you and then watch their non existant tank melt as they aggress you and inturn cause the drones to attack

Not matari. The vagabond. And with a good SPEED fit it will go 4k. The stabber might be able to touch 2.5k if it's lucky. That's about it for post-nerf nanos.
It will be dead.

actually i like the nerf, also i didnt have a prob with nano ships like ceptors or vagas or sabres.
i enjoy sitting in a emtpy belt with my drake, when a nano comes, i hit salvage on a wreck so they hear the sound (if theyr far off so they hurry to scram/disrupt me) i start aproching and hit my mwd, 1000m/s without overload, 1400 with..
then i web when i get to 17km, and use my 430dps that my drake does. love my drake :P
shame tho il find less people to trick now after the nerf

and sure a lachesis with faction scram sounds great at first, except it has half the range of a huggin with less stopping power and only works on mwd ships

QFT. The general nano pilot is a bigass nub. That is why he is in a nano boat all the time in the first place. Less risk of fail because he has too much failsauce inherently.

Almost every bs gang i meet comes with RR setup. Them and falcons are already FOTM. Ppl are saying after this lachesis and arazu getting a boost. I dont see how. It would have been useful nanos were there and u can use it against them. What good is a counter if u dont have anything to use it against. I dont really worry much about intys and Vaga. B4 they stayed away from minmatar recons, now they will stay away from gallente ones.
As for FOTM i believe it will be the age of uber tanking. Which lead to blobbing, which lead to whining. Circle of life in EVE. :)

that is not so bad man, considerign a web wil drop you to 2k only.
I stil think the ammount of the nerf is a tiny bit over... I think a 2 t1 poly 2 overdrive T2 Vaga should go 4.1-4.3 K (not 3.4 as of the new changes). But i really think the previous near 6k were unecessary

It already happens. If we take a remote rep gang into enemy territory they will just bring 3x as many ships and it will be a slaughter no matter what. It's not fun at all.

50 bs would beat 50 falcons hands down. You gonna be the FC who quickly assigns 50 different names to 50 different people in the space of a few seconds? Or merely one of the gang members who not only has coherently understand the name just barked at him but also search for it in a list of countless names.
The bs gang fc on the other hand has one instruction: fire at will. 20+ falcons would be popped before one of them got a jam in.
