The Eve-Online web site is hosted in Iceland , the game server cluster is in London.
Also , you are not paying a dime for the Eve-Online site, you are paying for the server cluster which hosts the game and the programmers. The site itself is a benefit.

Hmm... It's almost always very fast for me, at least the forums (pages load in ~0.5 second or less).
Sometimes it's very slow though, yes.

This is bizarre... the site is actually running fast for me today!!! I'm getting less than a second for the pages to display now...

Sometimes I go off and make a cuppa while waiting for the page to load.
Even refreshing the page, opening in a new window etc dosn't help. Then are those odd moments when it feels like it's loaded before I've even clicked the link

Sigh,
I'm from Australia and have no trouble,
But I also seem to know and remember reports out of both Australia and the UK, that sometimes the routers get a little confused where they are and send packets elsewhere, when they need to only go quite close. usually when it's crossing major network boundaries (In australia usually when you go from Telstar to Optus or back. IN the UK, who knows :)

yeah ive been suffering from 10-90 second page loads on the eve website since pre christmas. i fecking hate this website, though i still have to use it.
Im using firefox 0.8 btw, and my isp is Telia.

I'm still waiting for CCP to actually comment on this weird weblag as it seems to affect some and not others while people who are far away are getting better responses than some who are nearer to the webservers.

wow it took only 4min for the reply page came up after i had hit "reply"
i guess that speaks for itself.
i have no idea on why the website performance and the forums here have such a crappy performance when just about every other site/forum on the internet work hundreds of times faster then this site.
and im not using a 2400 modem either.

My Mozilla Firefox works fine as well.
No diffrence from the normal Mozilla or Internet Explorer.

It certainly is an ISP routing problem.
My adsl connection has horrible speeds with the eve website but on a 56k modem from another provider it's far far better
