After flying up to L-T to collect some of my items from the good old days, i see a new alliance has formed. UNICOR, from my understanding it's a lot of old SA corps that have joined up arms, and moved to the vale of the silent. I have no problems with new alliances, nor problems with the SA. However heres what i do not agree with. NAST a group of corps from various areas, maintained an agreement to protect the areas and keep them open to miners and travellers. this appears not to be the case
http://server5.uploadit.org/files/damascus-ClaimingSpace.jpg
I had spoken to a guy in Everlasting vendetta yesterday, and i was told they are not part of the NAST agreement. I must admit i did say i would wait untill the weekend to post this thread, however, sat thinking of you guys closing areas, and mining then dry makes me feel kinda sick.
After sitting in the channel, UNICOR, it appears the PA or others officers of NAST have given UNICOR until saturday to talk about this. I find this quite sad. NAST agrees to protect an area of space. A new alliance comes in, closes systems to mining, and they will talk about it at the weekend. Why in gods name are you not doing something about this. Either kick them out, or control the area like it should be controlled. Making an agreement with simple messages, should be dealt with on simple terms. Open space for all, no exceptions.
If NAST will not act upon this i want to know why.....
I am not a member of either side, but after being shot at for no reason travelling through the vale, from members of Everlasting vendetta, with no warnings, or requests for me to leave, i think the general public of eve should be made aware of what is going on, and to voice their views on the current situation.
If it needs to be discussed between the 2 sides, then discuss it now. While discussions are in place withdraw your right to close systems, and let people know wtf is going on. I find it hard to beleive you can form an alliance, close sytems, and not take the time to make a post on here to tell people what your doing

Frickity Frack!
Now their true colors come out. Thanks for bringing this to Eve's attention transporter.
They even have a 5% refine tax on their station. This is against NAST too. NASt and the other corps of the region were doing such a good job keeping this space open so that freelancers and small corps could use it freely. Now some stinking Unicorns had to come up and stomp about.
Well Frickity Frack

thank you for being unbiased transporter, i cannot speak for the council only as a member, but i belive they have asked for "time" and in the name of fair game NAST has given it to them. We know they are preparing a press release (UNICOR) to be aired this weeked. I also belive the NAST does not wish a war but would destroy UNICOR if needs be. I find it disgusting that they move into open space, claim it, stop mining from outisders, and charge a 5% refining tax.
Again i do NOT speak with any authority from the PA council or NAST.

You could use your The End char to post this, who is in silent guard (check the piccie, it shows local and it shows him, here he sports his favorite random indie ganking around tribute ship the breacher).
I guess i could say it of the guy replying as well, but im not 100% sure who's alt he is. most definatly not a local around this region though.
As for the rest I wont go into details, expect futher announcements soonÖ.
(also note if you replace the piccie with an editted version ill just upload the original one again )

the end character?
Sure......those people in game know who my other account is, and it's certainly not the end. The end (The character) did send me the screemshot of the can's when i got to fdz, i was upset at the time, wondering wtf was going on, and he sent me the link. I do however know this guy, but that of no concern to this message. Sounds like your trying to dis reps, to pull yourself out of the ****

Edited by: Enraku Reynolt on 28/05/2004 00:56:10 Transporter ..since you claim not to speak for NAST, then by posting in the forums, you prove you are biased Reptor As you said, the NEST groups have agreed to discuss this so instigating in the forums helps and solves nothing so just allow the matter to be resolved instead of badgering us in the chat and on the forums and being a poor rep of the group you claim to be wanting to help ------------------------------------------------ Do not let the world change you. did i say your violating a treaty? I am merley informing that you have cleary gona against NAST's obvjectives in the area. They have a mission statement that they need to stick too, it can;t be one rule for one, and another for another. Your in the space that NAST controlls, NAST are responsible to act upon your actions. If not.....the whole thing is a joke

there was a member of PA in the unicor chat with me yesterday, so as for the part of not having time to do anything thats kinda BS. He said that he would inform the council/officers, whatever NAST has. As for the breaking an agreement maybe it should have been rephrased to 'breaking rules/laws' A minor detail. I still have not seen a constructive response from either side, just flames and nit picking

A) answering the mans question, and defending ur position
or
B) not saying anything (nice way of saying shut the hell up)

A public announcement will be made regarding UNICOR shortly. Hold tight people, and stop speculating.
(no this should not, and will not break the nast agreement)

I'm disappointed. I spoke to Transporter, explained the situation and asked for a couple days to let everyone involved finish the political discussions and he agreed.
Transporter, its certainly your right to post whatever you will, but your post is self serving, intentionally provocative and an attempt to draw a negative response between the parties involved.
As you state Quote: I am not a member of either side.
Then maybe you should let the parties involved work things out instead of trying to yank everyones chain for your own reasons.
Post what you will, I will not respond until discussions are finalized and UNICOR has a public release.
I request that anyone in UNICOR or NAST refrain from posting until we have finished talks. Whatever happens between us, let's play our game, not some twit's trying to gain attention or throw a hand grenade into the process.

this is what i know so far...
UNICOR (United Corporations)
Is an alliance of corporations committed to holding select systems in the Vale of the Silent and Geminate Regions, including all 3 Player Stations in Vale of the Silent
Goals - To keep out and mutually defend against pirate corporations and those who would attempt to usurp our claim this space - To work with neighboring alliances to control the Vale of the Silent and Geminate Regions - To keep the areas of Vale of the Silent and Geminate not claimed by UNICOR as free space - To not charge docking or office fees at any of the 3 Vale player stations - To keep the alliance simple and populated by corporations who are committed to maintaining the alliance and assisting in mutual defense - To mine rare ores in a "Seeding" style - leaving a minimum of 1000 units or ore in the asteroids - To develop relationships with like-minded corporations and pilots and expand our ranks
Criteria for joining - No pirate corps - Not at war or in conflict with any of our current allies - UNICOR corporations agree to invest and participate in the mutual defense of the region and alliance corporations - Respectful manner at all time, no smack talk no forum whoring.
Defense It is extremely important to maintain a strong military defense, especially in the early weeks of the alliance, if we hope to hold the region for any length of time.
All UNICOR pilots who are in our region will be required to be logged into the UNICOR-DEF channel and be prepared to quickly respond if called upon for defense. All corporations are expected to commit to the defense of the region, even if their contribution is simply skilled frigate pilots working within a larger fleet.
The alliance will maintain 3 levels of defense: 1 - Primary defense: All corporations with PvP squads will maintain pilots patrolling our closed systems. The PvP group will be known as the Rapid Response Unit or RRU; all RRU members will be required to be logged onto EV's Teamspeak server with at least the ability to listen to orders during a military operation. RRU's primary mission is to vigorously defend against incursions. 2 - Request for back up: When a request for back up comes in the defense channel, pilots in nearby space are expected to refit for combat and follow the instructions of military commanders. Participation is not intended to be mandatory, but it is highly encouraged. 3 - Call to arms: This is a mandatory call to arms. All pilots in the region stop what they are doing and haul ass to defend our space! Ultimately this will be rarely used, however in the first weeks of the alliance we can anticipate many Call to Arms to show an overwhelming force and solidify our hold on the region.
All Alliance members in the Vale area will be required to a respond to a general call of arms, so all members are required to have at least a frigate to help the defend the region.
Sharing with our alliance corporations Once a reasonable relationship has been established EV is willing to offer the following benefits to allies who invest themselves in our mutual alliance: - Free Team speak server access (we actually prefer to get everyone on the same server for defense at the very least) - EV will set up and maintain UNICOR Forums to that the different corps can communicate easily. These will include a secure Forum for neighboring alliances to post. - EV will maintain the administrative side of the alliance and act as the face of the alliance to the world of EVE, however policy decisions will be made by CEOs and directors - EV will offer to buy some of the higher end minerals at our LS-JEP station at the same rate we buy from our membership. (80% market value). This is meant as a safe and fast way for miners to sell their ore and can be mutually beneficial to all. Minerals are accepted only by EV High Councilors at the LS-JEP station.
Alliance corporations are encouraged to relocate empire operations close to the P3en system so military forces can move between the two systems with ease. If needed we can assist in facilitating your obtaining offices near our new Empire HQ in The Citidel Region. -Tamish from EV will be the alliance spokesman and act as a go between the general public and the alliance leadership.
go figure...
