It seems every time I join a corp I am told about the ships they have, the space they own and what they do.
Then when I join them I find there's 20 people sitting in 10 different stations fiddling with themselves while the corp leadership (if it logs on at all) is moving capital ships or pos's or something and then you get told the "space they own" will be "in a couple of weeks" or whatever.
In the meantime they say "our base is at this system" and you go there and find noone there, except for the 5 red (usually russian) corps that you quickly find yourself surrounded by, unable to make any isk doing what you do.
I've been in like 10 different corps that other people ran, and if they weren't complete ripoffs altogether (swren1, and the famous CoN alliance), then they are lame or in some intermediary period waiting for something big to happen and everyone is sitting around doing nothing in the meantime - and at least 50% of them have nothing going on usually anyhow.
Please, if you're holding sov somewhere and have a corp that really is doing things and can handle another hulk miner/budding rorqual pilot, drop me a line in-game. But please, if you're not running ops most days or just sitting in stations being really pleased with what you got going on down below, avoid me. I'm mean!

Hello Collusion,
Sounds like you have not had the best of luck with Corps of late. I wont waste to much of your time but thought you might want to have a look at our corp.
Its named Breathe. and we are based in 0.0 Providence. We are an active Corp and just finished a weekend long Op which was pretty diverse. The miners mined Ice for the POS then we had a mid sized alliance Op on the Sunday. Pics at end of the post.
As for the Corp itself we are a mixed bunch as far as player Toon age. I am one of the younger ones but we have many old and bold pilots who much like yourself are bored of the typical Corp failings. Our activities are wide and varied and there is normally people around on a day to go on a corp op or alliance.
In fact the idea behind the name Breathe. and our motto "Relax... Your amongst friends"
Corp players are mostly Europe, South Africa & United States based. Our average age is around 28.
Our 0.0 space has a good number of belts for ratting or mining. We also have a high sec POS for manufacturing and research if that floats your boat.

I totally agree with Collusion post.I am tired as well of moveing my stuff around all Universe ,listening to people or even Ceo's who make fake promises,etc,etc.
A few words to Mustaka:
If my little post sounds good towards you I may join your corp soon as you expected:
We are fully equpied group of genuine people .We own a Carrier,Hulk's,Skif's,Command ships and T2 Haulers.
Mostly interesting in Mining ,and manufacturing all kind of ship and also T2 Caldari.
We can load your market quite fast...make it full of wanted ships,fighters,ammo ,etc,etc.
Our lads are able to make a chain to set up regular carrier run from 0.0 to 0.4.
2 years experience in Pos Maitnance,Moon mining,pvp in 0.0 space.
We're definetely not noobs.
What we are looking for is strong corporation or alliance which owns 0.0 space with soveregnity at least I plus close acess to outpost with refinery if is possible.

No crap, i'll just tell you were we are at 
We are part of one of the biggest alliances in eve (With a lot of friends).
We have sov in almost all of our systems, we have a HUGE capital fleet (and a cap ship program, for the right people of course).
We have almost daily mining ops, roaming gangs, complex hunting, etc. We lead busy lives 
If you like what you see, pop into NPCC RECRUITMENT and have a chat with our very experienced pilots.
I won't be there for the next 2 weeks as i am on vacation but i will be popping in from time to time

Hello,
It sounds like more than anything you are looking for a corp with members that actually log on and play. Well we are a corp of about 60 members and about half are very active and we have a good 50/50 mix of US and UK players. Mostly everyday there are group ops going on and on Saturdays is our offically planned group op days. On Saturdays we usually get 15-20 members show up actually on time. 
We are empire based right now, we have had a couple of bad experiences with alliances because we jumped in too quick. Now we are taking out time to look around and in no hurry to jump right back into an alliance, so it may be a while before we are in 0.0 again.
In short a very solid corp of players that work as a team and work to help each other out.

Hi there Collusion,
The most upsetting thing i've found is having to sit at the station because of reds or neuts in system and you have 30 people docked at station chatting away.
Moving corps is also a drag, having to move your stuff yet again. Our corp is different in that respect, we do actualy log on, undock and stuff. We have EU/US player so there are always people online that are willing to fight/mine/rat/you name it.

I'm sorry u haven't had the best of luck finding a corp that makes up on their promisses.
My corp (53 men and a woman) is pure pvp, we live in cloud ring where we have sovereignty.
Promise we do is lots of kills, easygoing nice persons in corp and just a good time.
If u check out our recruitment post u can exactly see what we expect from members, but most important what the corp can give u in return.

That's probably why... maybe just my thinking. But yes, recruiters and recruiting posters lie. Your best bet is to talk to someone / a non recruiter, and get them to tell you about the corp.

Heh.. this sounds sooo familiar... I think I moved my stuff like 5 times all over the dang galaxy and then lost it all cause no one was on but hostile targets and I got sick of that crap... needless to say im just flyin solo right now but I do hate flying across the galaxy for nuthin.. bah!

Once again looking for corp and yeah I just flew across the galaxy for nothing and am hoping to get my gear back from the corp who never did quite move it into their space after a week (given there was war) of it sitting in contract.
Now the war is over and the CEO won't login because he's "sick of moving stuff" so now I'm once again looking for corp (without my 2b worth of mining/production equipment) somewhere -_-
